Kicking this back to the top.
I'm interest in what people will choose first with their Sold tomes. I'm for sure getting body first, at least.
Body for sure
Axe first here.
Legs, seems biggest upgrade from start, same defence + vit + str than body but secondary stat increase is better, you can have enough accuracy with Allagan weapon anyway
Will probably do legs or body. Tough choice but yea the secondaries are better on legs.
How are people feeling about WAR MT viability in 2.2 coil? I have PLD and WAR both BiS from 2.0/2.1, and am trying to decide which to focus on upgrading as our coil MT this time around.
Whatever your OT isn't. As with WHM + SCH, they tend to compliment each other better than stacking one or the other.
Doing body first, for looks. Legs or weapon second.
Just got body, then saw stats on legs.
Regret.
Thankfully, there's always another two weeks from now.
So I have a question that may be more for theorycrafting - however they said to move discussions to this thread. In the spirit of trying to itemize differently from Paladins are they any numbers that would support a heavy skill speed build for warriors.
The logic behind this is to allow for a steady state tanking rotation of storms path - > Storms eye - > Buther's block along with inner beast use and still be able to re-apply storm's path before it falls off.
Also to have a higher uptime on inner beast.
Is there any math on the skill speed breakpoints to achieve this, is there any level of inner beast uptime that would be greater than parry, are these breakpoints achievable with current 2.2 itemization?
Is this chart valid?

(i dont think its possible to maintain path in 20 GCD but I think at 2GCD the downtime for path would be ~6 seconds?)
So I'm having a dilemma. I want more parry / ACC / defensive survivability in general on WAR for my pure tanking set. I've been comparing noct gear to HA gear to i90 gear to crafted i90 gear. My general feeling is noct gear, for the most part, blows absolute donkey dick for WAR aside from the pants (maybe) and ring. Aside from giving more DEF and a few more VIT it's generally pretty shit imo.
Now as far as I can reason, there's no good reason to buy the i90 body / hands / belt / legs and use them over what I currently have. There's no way to stack enough ACC / Parry to make up for the fact that they have 2 shitty main stats on already (DET/SS). However the head and feet have the potential to be melded to be as good as what I use now + some ACC / DPS secondary stat. However, head and feet both drop in T6, which we have no problem clearing.
So question is, is the i90 crafted gear worth it for me? I'm leaning towards no, but I want to make sure it's not just me being stingy.
With the general lack of accuracy available for WAR (at least for a while) I think the body is generally a top tier choice for pure damage mitigation. Combined with the weathered ring it enables you to hit everything in T6-8, even with the Wave Axe equipped.
Noct hands are good too to meet the Acc requirements.
I have body and hands getting legs tomorrow, ring next week then I'm done with sol for my tanks. The rest can wait for HA.
Edit: first mythic going to a tank?
