Yeah, he ran coil in the FC like a week ago.
Miz is getting the funeral info for me, his ffxiv mates plan to send flowers.

The world is much less wonderful today. Maybe I shouldn't say that, though—not after the loss of someone who appreciated the sciences so much. Fuck. What an amazing age of discovery we're in, and he's going to miss out on it now...
I hope to do whatever I can to help once more information is made available.Originally Posted by Tyche

“Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's laws wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. Funny, it seems to by keeping it's dreams; it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared.”
Brilliance in itself is a treasure.
Brilliance, a genuine love for the pursuit of knowledge and an equally eager joy for sharing it?
Crazy valuable.
A humble and gentle nature that didn't wield it as a weapon to feel superior?
Fucking priceless.
Rest in peace Woozie. Know that you were awe-inspiring.
Copy/pasta from what I posted on his facebook page
We never talked much, but just looking through your photos, I admired all of your accomplishments. You only have me by one year, but have accomplished a decade more than I ever have.
You seem like a terrific guy and you will truly be missed
Man what the fuck, I didnt frequent the threads he posted in often but this is terrible.
RIP =/
it is the tiniest gesture but still, I feel it fitting, giving him BG Gold status. its not really much, but he gave enough for it to be worth it
Sad news. RIP
Prayers to his family, friends and BGs
Was he sick or something? He was pretty awesome, and I didn't think this was expected, but then again I didn't know him outside of his posts. Best of luck to all his loved ones.
unbelievable tragedy
Filled with regret that I didn't spend more time in the math and science threads. I remember being dazzled by him and getting lost in wikipedia for extended lengths of time after some of his posts. Glad to hear he was playing 14 with all of you, I hadn't seen him post much lately. Will forever remember the time he copied Miz's sigatar and ended up getting a time out meant for Miz. RIP
I also think this says a lot about the community that has been built here and the friendships that have been formed. Roy and Keith and Rudy and everyone else closer to him than I was, I am so terribly sorry for your loss.
Never got to know him personally, but I truly admired his posts. This is such a tragedy, my condolences to those of you who lost a dear friend.
I don't really have words. I'm extremely upset about this. Looking at his name in FC roster every time I open it up causes a bit of a twinge
Sucks that this is all that I can do, but somehow I think he would have appreciated this.

What a damn shame.
My mans was always there to challenge truth and look further and dig deeper than most when it comes to knowledge in mathematics/physics/cosmology.
Never really got to talk more with you, is my regret now. Always put a smile on my face when he would playfully hate on people who were into applied mathematics majors. Despite that, he was usually one of the first to jump in any thread math or science related to answer any questions that were within his scope. I challenge anyone here to go back into many of those math threads between 2008~2010 and read his posts. It's still very interesting even today, though a lot of it is over my head personally.
Here's a perfect example of of his humbleness in his spreading knowledge to others on BG:

Will be missed.
One of maybe 10 people I've encountered on the boards that I would call an actual contributor, it's a shame to see someone so intelligent go so young. RIP.
Someone needs to write up a memorial for this guy because his personal story needs to not be forgotten by anyone and told to anyone who thinks their life is so bad that they can't do better for themselves. That's why hearing the news makes it so tragic. I never talked to him but I admired the fuck out of him. Was just too shy to open my mouth and say so. I can only imagine how his family feels. :/
Woozie was the guy you knew even if you didn't know him personally. His love of science was contagious, and to watch him and Miz get into it was a blessing to see. I laughed every single damn time I saw his Cosmology post in Miz's sig, such a playful and funny yet smart play on words.
For anyone that struggles with mental health, it's a devastating blow to know someone suffered in silence and chose to leave this life. We all understand sadness and maybe even despair, but it's hard to fathom the mindset of how Woozie must have felt at the end. Truthfully I'm a little mad at him in the way we can be about people we cared about. We found out he was suffering, but it's too late. I'm angry you're gone and I wish I could have helped, or someone closer to you, but my heart goes out to you in your suffering.
I don't think about heaven or hell in my day to day, but I'm thinking about it now and I hope you're somewhere good Woozie. Rest in peace, you'll be in our hearts
There are people on BG I can objectively describe as nice and/or brilliant, and can still think of at least 3 people who would be like "fuck that guy" and have a somewhat legitimate argument.
Woozie was above that though, I really can't think of anyone who either had a beef with him or that anyone would be like "yeah, that's fair".
