Tyven, I laughed pretty hard at your memory there. More of this please? Idk how others deal with this sort of thing, but I love to hear great stories or be reminded of things my shitty memory can't recall on its own.

I've put a couple of posts that do talk about what happened behind spoilers. We don't yet know if the family is comfortable with this information being public yet.
If you are among those who know, please don't share until then.
Miz has shared his feelings with us on the second page (if you've 50 posts per page settings—I'm not sure where it is for anyone else), so I have removed the spoilers.
Woozie was one of the people who inspired me to get into physics.
He joined my FC and there was a non-zero chance that after all he did to inspire me I was going to end up in the same graduate program as him.
These past few weeks I've spent on vent with him discussing physics and math and our plans for the future and research interests had my hopes so high. I really don't have the words to tell you all just how smart woozie really was.
I know you all know he was brilliant, but the thing is, he was at least 100x more than whatever you regarded him as. I'm completely crushed.
I'll miss you man. I'm sorry we never got to hit up Chapel Hill together and I'm even more sorry you never got to lay that quantum rap down on me.
Whenever I see a BG Math tag on a forum thread, I usually think of him. And 9 times out of 10 it was way above my head despite the fact I took calculus 10 years ago.
RIP
Don't think I ever talked to him, but like a lot said, was always digesting his posts in the science threads. Condolences to his family and friends, here on BG or elsewhere.
Aside, classy by the mods to let those that were banned say their piece.
I made some great friends on this forum over the years. It's a damn shame to see such a truely brilliant mind lost so soon.
Miz, Rudy, Keith, and everyone else who had the privilege of calling Woozie a friend.... My deepest condolences go out to you and Woozie's family.
This is so awful. I'd only ever had a handful of exchanges with him, but he always stood out as someone who was just awesome and genuine and someone you wanted to and enjoyed talking to. An incredible loss.
If going forward there's something that's deemed appropriate to do for the family or in his name by the forum, I'd absolutely be willing to contribute.
BG can be a terrible place, amusing, but terrible. I was usually struck reading Woozie's posts by what a genuinely good-natured guy he seemed to be. The community is definitely a bit darker without him, RIP
FuckHe was one of the people that I always looked forward to reading what they wrote. He was an inspiration, and while I only knew him from what he had posted on this forum about his life, it was heart-warming and inspiring to know that true brilliance can still shine in a world that does most everything it can to keep you down.
While he didn't post much in this section anymore, he always seemed to show up from time to time to post in the LHC thread, or in the odd math question thread and save the day for some hopelessly lost soul. He will be truly missed.
Hubble Got'chu.
Rip even if I didn't know you much woozie. I hope that if afterlife does exist you will be happy and at ease
As many others, I did not know him, but I always enjoyed his posts.
He was one of the good guys around here.
Today is definitely a very sad day.
You'll be missed so much, dude. I was quite giddy when you got put in my group, I knew we were gonna rock the shit out of Coil. All the lootz would be ours. All the stories, all the frustration, all the bullshitting, it was ours to claim. You were Math-man and no damned dragon was going to hold you back.
I am sooo sorry I didn't see the signs you gave me on Thursday.
I just wish I knew how things could have been different.
Also agree on him having one of the best titles ever. Just too good.
Hubble gotchu too, Wooz. Hubble's gotchu too.![]()
Like others, I didnt know Wooz at all, but always did enjoy his posts. Personally, I love science and math, and to see how much he enjoyed it, made me feel like I hated it. I wish I could have known him even remotely as much as some of my friends did on here.
RIP Wooz. Hope the view from up there is as good as it can be down here.
I posted in the Calc thread, but appropriately, I'll say RIP here too. Everything he posted pretty much went over my head. Much respect, and may God rest your soul, Woozie.
Goodbye Woozie.
He tanked our Caduceus in The Binding Coil of Bahamut recently and was a fantastic tank; picked up on the fight very fast. Until next time.
Wow, that dude was fucking cool. I remember him destroying Max a few times, while not even being an asshole. Sucks when someone you semi-know dies, sry to hear to all those who were close to him :/
Can't believe we were just trading stuns a week ago, this is such a tragic shock. What a loss.
I wasn't as close to Woozie as some of you, but I could tell from talking to him on vent the past couple weeks, he was a kind soul and a brilliant person as the title states... I hope all his friends are doing alright.
Sudden losses are the worst, and hardest to handle. My heart breaks for all his friends and family.
He has a few piano videos on youtube:
Only talked to him here and there through the forum but definitely a great guy. One of the few people who could post mathy sciency things with brilliant ease and yet at the same time never purport himself as superior to anyone. My condolences to those of you who knew him well.
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a fierce battle."
I also remember him destroying Max when it came to arguments. Max isn't by any means a complete fool when it comes to physics, but he was definitely shown up many times when he deserved it. He would then complain and cry to me in-game on FFXI after they had a bout and he was on the losing end. Quite the interesting experience.
