Want a hard mode? Don't block.
I have been forgetting Link can actually just hold his shield up and avoid damage, no timing or any kind of skill required. I don't use it, game is actually fun and challenging instead of just "fun" and "easy" like every person in this thread is saying.
But the fact that I can beat the game without blocking probably isn't a good sign, I guess they did make it too easy. Anyone try out the hard mode?
I want this game to sell millions. I want Nintendo, and all others, to realize that a company gets and should get rewarded for producing quality goods.
This game is quality goods. Top-quality.
I just get the shield for completion sake. I think the only times I've used it were when I was messing around to see what the Hyrule shield could block I've never used it in actual defense. Wish I'd use it more on Hero mode though, kind of annoying how some things can basically one hit you. I do wish Enemies had more health and not just more damage dealt. It's really not hard avoiding all attacks from enemies and bosses.

Clarification on the @Target 3DS XL Black Friday deal: All #3DS XL hardware is $50 off. This includes the Zelda 3DS XL while supplies last.
They still haven't sent mine yet.
If a backup code is listed in the system, they can just reprint them until the codes run out. I would just go into a store and ask for the code and eventually someone will help you and know how to find it.
looking like zelda special edition not gonna be on sale in Canada, but regular 3ds xl on sale for 150, zelda bundle goes for 220
I'm thinking get a black one for 150 and get a physical copy of the game but part of me is thinking, what's $30 bucks saved when I could have a zelda edition 3ds?
any advice?
Fake Gold ftw
Honestly if $30 isn't that big of a deal to you, and you don't mind having to download the game via a code on WiFi, go for the bundle. This 3DS XL model will probably be the best for some time because it doesn't involve any sort of graphic or decals upside down or shitty colors, everything is fucking perfect.
Something of importance to me I noticed, I use to have the blue/black 3DS XL and the hinge for the top part always felt a little loose. I am very glad to report this model does not have that problem, it's pretty solid. I can only hope that the other latest models will also be built this way. Personally, I think the all black model is just as fine if you don't go with the bunduru.
the storage aspect is minimal? 4 gb sd card seems small so I thought a physical copy could be a plus
The game was great. 100%'d it on my first play through. I wish there were some additional end game aspects or that the dark link battles were more readily available, I still don't quite understand the whole system pass thing as this is my first 3DS game but meh. Loved the game. Real nostalgic feel.
Well, beat the game.

I really don't know where I want to place this game on my Zelda tier list. It wouldn't be particularly high on it though. The game is solid, but those temples are small, and there's a lack of 'secret' things in the overworld in general, even compared to LttP which this game is heavily based on. Probably doesn't help that I played a fuckton of LttP over the years and have that game mapped to memory though.
Easy recommendation for any newcomer to the series though. Better this than the DS entries.
Don't know what people are complaining about, 2 dungeons in and the sizes are about right. LttP dungeons weren't huge themselves. These dungeons are practically the perfect size IMO.
this, i also think/or remember dark world LttP dungeons being bigger, AlbW dungeons seem very small compared to them. Fuck even Links awakening had bigger and more complex dungeons to some degree then AlbW.
while I appreciate that you can visit any dungeon in any order I think giving you a Map and the possibility to do so (without major drawbacks) limited Dungeon design immensly.
