Aight finished P3 Reload and while it was certainly a fun game, after doing P5 Royal (again), P4 Golden, and P3 Reload now all within a year I think I am Persona’ed out for while

The formula is so similar in all three titles it really does feel like the same game each time just with different aesthetics and music

Protagonist transfers to new school, befriends people, Igor/Velvet room attendant introduction, PERSONA~, second navigator shows up in third dungeon, plot twist around the fifth dungeon, school trip, December hits HEY THIS IS THE ENDING psyche faked you out, super obvious in your face “choice” decides good or bad ending, bonus month of January before you get the real ending, THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP AND THE HUMAN WILL TO SURVIVE OVERCOMES LITERAL GODS, victory lap etc

I think I enjoy the friendships and interactions of the P4 cast most of all, P3 reload looks the best just by virtue of being the newest, P5 Royal is objectively the best gameplay of the three. P3 protagonist is kinda emo scene mid, P4 protagonist is kind of a Giga Chad, Joker feels like he kinda is a combination of the previous two leaning more towards Chad

P3 Reload Waifu rankings:

The game clearly wants you to make Aigis your bae and it probably makes the most sense from a narrative perspective but probably one of the weaker romances imo. D tier.

Mitsuru is also rushed at the end and feels very unnatural like yo Aigis is supposed to be the robot not you, why am I teaching you how to be a person too? D tier.

Fuuka is cute and endearing bringing her out of her shell a lil bit, I’ll give it a B.

Chihiro pretty similar to Fuuka, bringing shy girl out of her shell but you don’t see the same level of character development as Fuuka, so I’m going C.

Yuko feels very natural showing two people coming together over a mutual interest/activity/sport and they actually date instead of having to overcome some challenge, felt the most normal and non-Persona like. It gets a B.

Yukari is the best romance P3 Reload has to offer, she’s your teammate from the start, you help her overcome some trauma, she’s outgoing, just as likely to roast you as flirt with you. And you can dress in her in Battle Panties in Tartarus. A tier.

Yeah, I can't imagine playing that much Persona in a single year, lol. The game's are fun, but it's the same formula with some twists and changes between games and because they're pretty long, the repetitiveness can hit hard, the mid-game sections often feel like such a slog to me.

So it looks like im going to be able to max all SL in one playthrough, being 3 levels off pace based on the PowerPyx guide. In actually, it was 5 levels off pace because I did the Persona 5 thing and tried to max some outside of school SL's first wanting to get them done and almost got burned playing catchup. Ran through the last month speedrun style trying to see if it was possible to get 2 levels in Justice, 2 in Priestess, and 1 in Strength as well as all 10 in Aeon before the 31st. Finished on the 30th while still getting everyones rank 2 passive and completed all male linked episodes. Whew.

The re-useable dating website link you can buy at Club Escapade saved my bacon allowing me to increase affinity during nighttime. Fuuka, you minx, why you so difficult to max between rank 8 and 9?

At least now I know I can chill the last month and grind tartarus for some items without fuss.

Announcing on 3/6 shouldnt be lost on anyone, though requiring a whole roadmap layout for 3 DLC entries does not make much sense as "Pass" 1 and 2 are just BGM and outfit changes.

Maybe they've got a surprise for Pass 2 in FeMC route option. Otherwise I don't see how any of this roadmap has people continuing to play P3Reload past an initial playthrough until September.

Chiptune 'Heaven' hits pretty hard though, ngl. Can't wait for Heartful Cry and Burn My Dread remixes, as well as the original FES opening cinematic and "that scene" with Door-Kun in HD.

I remember when doing P3P on Playstation, there was an option to redo boss fights as a challenge mode with forced fixed party members. Was that just a portable bonus? If so, that absolutely should be added in with this DLC. Was bummed I didn't get to do that end game.

There’s been a round of interviews this week and the devs adamantly say there will not be a FeMC for P3 Reload, sorry bout it, they have to work on other titles.

Theres already a bunch of FeMC mods for the PC version if you really want it though

Elizabeth fight is a mother fucker, she cheats like hell. I think I’m gonna wait for NG+ if I ever fight her because I just wanna finish the game at this point.

If you repel or absorb any of her attacks she instant kills you. Once she gets under half HP she full heals and instant kills you, but if you have Enduring Soul you’ll get back up. You gotta then get her as close to half health as you can without going over (or she instant kills you again) and one shot her with a Theurgy move. If you don’t take her out with Theurgy she instant kills you. If you have armor or accessory with Endure and a Persona with Endure you can try twice in theory but you probably wouldn’t be able to get Theurgy back up before she insta-kills you again.

The first game was much more choreography than fight, and in looking around for tips this didnt seem any different.

This time it was a bit less choreography and more damage check, but you still need a handful of specific personas with a specific set-up to manage it. Orpheus Telos is basically for this fight, and if you build him for ice then you can abuse the King and I theurgy for big damage (2-4k based on buffs/debuffs/concentrate) for well timed hits when she ends her turn on Surt.

I had Chi-You as buffer/debuffer. (Heat Riser, Debilitate, Insta-Heal, Resist Elec, Resist Strike)
Lucifer as Phase 2 Megidolaon sponge (Concentrate, Enduring Soul, Resist Phys)
Helel as Phase 3 Megidolaon sponge (Morning Star, Almighty Boost, Multi-Target Boost, Spell Master, Endure)
Orpheus Telos as damage (Diamond Dust, Concentrate, Ice Amp, Ice Boost, Insta-Heal, Spell Master, Regenerate 3).

Basic premise is to use Orpheus to chip damage where you can, setting up a concentrate before you go on a Buff/Debuff cycle. Learn where the scripted Megidolaon's happen to slot in Lucifer and then Helel to absorb, and save a Theurgy for Armageddon after the 2nd scripted Endure triggers.

Shoes of Bane, Armor of Light, and Divine Pillar make normal fight damage almost insignificant. Shoes of Bane will save you an awful lot of Homunculus items and is really the only piece of gear you can wear that ignores Elizabeth's "No Nulls/Reflect/Absorbs" rule with Die for Me.

Got her down in 3 tries. First 2 tries I got caught in transitions during Phase II. Took too long between 13K and 10K HP and ate a 2nd Megidolaon unprepared. 3rd try I just timed a concentrated King and I with full buffs/debuffs on Surt and cleared almost 5K damage, skipping Phase II entirely (14K to 9k). This is on Merciless, btw.

After that I got another well timed King and I in on Surt for ~3.5K damage, and then a full buffs/debuff/concentrate Morning Star on Helel for ~900 damage to trigger the Phase 3 Megidolaon. Followed that up with Armageddon.

Only dangerous parts in Phase 3 is the turn limit of 50(I feel like I was close, probably in my early 40's for turns) and hoping you don't trigger an Alice or Metatron draw on Helel if your HP timing is off and you need a 2nd Morning Star before triggering the 2nd Megidolaon.

In finishing this up, the one complaint I have is the grind for "ultimate" gear seems a little more involved than in the original. And it is not nearly as important either because Scarlet Havok melts anything that isnt Reaper and Armageddon cleans up the rest.

Gonna be a week behind on wanting to finish this on March 5th, but this remake was so good and to know The Answer is on the way I am very happy with this remake. P3 was already one of my top 5 best games ever, and this is clearly the definitive edition of that now.

P4 always seemed to me like the most difficult to remake with 2025 sensibilities. Is Kanji going to be outright gay? Is Naoto going to be trans? Is Teddie going to have his pervy tendencies toned way down? He says pervy shit about everyone...even Nanako.
