But then its too far from the return point. And the only times I really use the inn is if I need to log out so returns always up.
There's a city aetheryte right outside the Adventurer's Guild, it's literally two extra mouse clicks away from the Return aetheryte.
limsa's market is literally next to the aetheryte, as a lazy person, this did it for me, limsa all the way.
I believe you are missing the point. From Gridania you have to run to the Inn from the Return Aether.
From Ul'Dah's Return point you just click the Aetheryte and go to Adventurer's Guild and run 1/4 the distance you would from Gridania.
The only good thing Gridania has is cheap Teleport rates to Rev Toll and Camp Dragonhead (likewise to Odin and Behemoth)
But the distance in Gridania is so small I'd be at the inn before your screen changes...
I swear if this turns into the what color is it style debate of FFXI.........................
All semantics, we'll have Market Boards in our FC houses, and beds to sleep in. /game
I foresee me never stepping into the respective cities for any reason other than quests they will add in the future.
Ul'dah is the best, Gridania is ok.
LL fails hard. Mainly because in the other two cities, when teleporting to the main aetheryte plaza, you land within range of the crystal so you can simply click and use the local aethernet. LL forces you to move. Worst city because of this simple fact, nothing can save it.
LL is closest to market board from aetheryte?
The load times are pretty damn fast for me, but I installed the game on my SSD.
Fastest markets access is definitely Limsa, probably followed by Ul'dah and then Gridania. Fastest inn access is why are you going to an inn. I personally have my homepoint at Gridania because I started here and took up their classes first, my gc is here, and my fc is based here.
I appreciated how the layout in Windurst kept a small number of morons from living there because they couldn't figure out how to maneuver efficiently. If that same thing happens in Limsa, then doubly so.
