For SE: It'll be ready in 2.9 along with cross-server friends, free company housing garden gnomes (non-FC in 3.4), and fixing the JP stoneskin tooltip on turn 4 mobs.

Dragon Quest X and Final Fantasy XI crossover for XIV will take place from January 21st through February 3rd

Square Enix will release the Dragon Quest X and Final Fantasy XI crossover content for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn worldwide. Both events kick off on January 21 at 2:00 AM and end on February 3 at 6:59 AM (all times PST).

The Dragon Quest X crossover brings Dragon Quest’s golems into Eorzea. Miners are intrigued by these creatures and hope to cash in by defeating these walking raw materials. Hawk Alvak of the Mythril Eye in Ul’dah, Steps of Nald can start the golem quest. Complete the event and you can get a Thug’s Mug mask (a Dragon Quest crossover helmet) and a Wind-up Brickman minion.

Final Fantasy XI’s master magician Shantotto entered Eorzea too. Her trademark laugh sends chills through the spines of Eorzea’s dwellers. If you speak to Khole Bajhiri of The Raven in New Gridania you can trigger a quest to take on a giant Shantotto. You can earn a Wind-up Shantotto as a reward for defeating her.

Seems like the Shantotto ones are up often enough. You actually don't even need to participate in the first FATE (Spriggan riding a Golem).

I wouldn't say they are "fast" respawn since I did dailies slowly today and didn't see it pop in southern thanalan, but the fates pops in nearly every zone. Got shantotto in eastern shroud after waiting roughly 30ish for it
