Have you considered the Mazda CX-9 for a 7 seater? I tried one out just for shits and giggles right before purchasing my CX-5. Was like the CX-5, just bigger. Another decent 7 seater I've personally experienced is my buddies Enclave. Things a beast.

The Kia Sorento has an optional 3rd row as well.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Thanks for the info! I like the Mazda 5 (6 seats is fine). My mother-in-law used to have a Rogue. That's not too bad either.

I wanna avoid the "things a beast" part. XD but I will definitely take a look into it.

Thanks for all the info guys, at least now I can kinda price/safety/feature/etc. compare since I didn't know which models had them!

I have the 2012 Rogue Fully Loaded w/ the CVT. My wife drives that one. The CVT has it's quirks like any other transmission. As far as reliability goes though they are fine. My buddy is the head mechanic at the local dealership, I interviewed him extensively before I bought in lol.

I wouldn't plan on getting much use out of a third row seat in a Rogue though.

Third row is really going to be for toting around grandparents with family, which is going to be a rare occasion. Which is why I'd rather do the third row thing than get a van when we won't need it all that often.

I was more of less pointing out a small kid to teenager will fit back there, not much taller than that. Not sure if you are toting around all adults or if kids are involved.

It's fine (did the research on that already lol). Always the optimal is the middle of the second row, but most of the dangerous impacts happen from the front, not the back (why you should never sit a child in the passenger seat). And most of the cars now that offer it have air bags that go back that far.

This is the truth. The main reason you don't want to put your kids in the front seat until they are old enough is because the airbag is dangerous to them. Specially if they are still rear facing.

I should have said one of the reasons.

But yes frontal hits accidents tend to be much more severe.

It's both: front airbags aren't designed for children and front collisions are more common and usually more harmful.

Airbags suck in general. They do more harm then good most of the time.
