That is sooner than I thought.

Totally shocked lol
The voice acting part didn't concern me as much as what will happen to the creativity/writing of the show without (honestly) the better half of that equation now not there anymore. Let's hope it continues to be great.
My understanding has been that Roiland contributed nothing to the show besides voice acting.
always big grain of salt with behind the scenes talk but allegedly he did not really get along with the writers to the point that his contributions were minimal in the past years (could well be damage control though)

More recently, multiple sources say that Roiland, other than voice work, has not had any meaningful creative presence on any of the series that bear his name. In fact, many of his former colleagues say they haven’t heard from him in years, and when they have, it’s been unpleasant. They note, too, that he hasn’t been on speaking terms with his Rick and Morty co-creator, Dan Harmon, for multiple seasons, and a substantial number of staffers on that show as well as Solar Opposites and Koala Man have never actually met Roiland, even over Zoom.
Ah well, nevertheless.
The new season of Solar Opposites came out a few weeks ago featuring the replacement voice of Dan Stevens, was quite a shock to the system without Roiland but it felt pretty on par with previous seasons. Definitely going to feel weird to see the new season of this too.
Put up or shut up. No one is irreplaceable, but that voice is honestly iconic and he voiced both main characters. The show ended in a great place last season, honestly they could have just let it die and because they didn't, well...put up or shut up.

If the writing is still there the show will be fine. The voices in South Park have changed over the years as Trey and Matt get older and no one cares. There's enough point of reference for the characters in this show to get a good approximation of the voices.
They also signed on for 70 episodes and have only delivered 20 lol, did you think they'd just stop with 50 episodes left in their contracts?

I honestly thought the show was cooked when the creator and voice actor for the two main characters was cancelled.

Well they better put up or shut up because you were wrong in your assumption
Get the dudes who voice the Aussie Rick and Morty to do it
This shit still cracks me the fuck up lmao
