So I've had Yew as a wizard for like, ever. Was having some trouble with a boss fight, threw on level 1 red magic on him.
Apparently, spellcraft works with other kinds of magic and not just spirit :D
Cure mist = party regen!

Spoiler: show
Got to Aimee, and she instantly 1 shots my entire party.
Well, shit.
Hurray, more censorship was found....
Pixelated cleavage and stomachs, wont someone think of the children?!
Seriously?
This one could be a deal breaker for me

"They removed all the non-neutral sidequest/Asterisk quest outcomes; any choices that would cause characters to die have been removed. Whatever choice you make now, you'll receive the neutral outcome where both sides make it out ok. Compare this to the Japanese versions where you had 4 different outcomes, with VOICED cutscenes!"
Ok, that's really bad. Why Nintendo, why?
Characters dying is problematic and not really acceptable for a western audience and it was deemed irrelevant to the core of the game so it's not really a big deal if they change it.
don't feel bad she did the same to me lolGot to Aimee, and she instantly 1 shots my entire party.
Well, shit.
There is a ton of even more fucked up stuff/death in other places of the game, lol.
Like, for example... Kinda spoiler I guess? Tried to make it as vague as possible while still explaining it.

Whatever, I really don't care too much about all the censors. I hate skimpy clothing on chicks so those are all A-OK to me. Also, the whole tomahawk thing, at first it only "bothered" me (not really bothered me as much as made me go wut) because it seemed like a move to safe face vs racism or whatever, and their choice to replace indians with cowboys is... kind of hilarious? But after playing the game, I think it makes a lot more sense, and it seems like something that if they could go back and change from the original, they probably would. The job uses GUNS ffs.
I don't really have an option because Nintendo not only censors everything but also region locks their damn systems. It usually doesn't bother me that much but removing content is going way too far. And isn't "death" one of the main themes of one of their series? Why is it ok for Fire Emblem and not here? Are these scenes that bad that they had to be removed from the game?
I dunno if it's just me that's loosing interest in the genre or something but i'm having a 'down' and not much interest in playing that game atm
I'm at chapter 2 in the sidequest in the mythril mines
Maybe i'll pick it up again soon dunno
Demo coming March 10th, Has a side-story not in the full game, items can be transferred to the full game by completing objectives
Got my gamer's club code to download the demo. Can't wait for the 7th!
So um... do you think I need to have played the original to enjoy this? Debating picking it up to play on my trip to Scotland this summer.
You get a small recap of the first game when you start second
Totally forgot this is coming out on Friday. Also, Best Buy shipped it today, so least it's not going to be super late like other recent games from them..
So how bad is the story censoring? How much content do we lose out on?
