Oh my god.
When you get to like... the second or third town, talk to the pig wandering around outside. It may be available as early as the second city, but I didn't notice till the third.
Talk to the pig. Trust me.

Pig does first show up in Al Khampis I believe
Finally beat Bravely Default >.>
My copy of Second is coming tomorrow. Do I need to bother with the demo or does it not have any amazing bonuses?
The demo bonuses are just consumable items, think the best one was 1 Elixir? You may also get a villager to help with rebuilding from the demo, but you get 5 free everyday in the actual game for using update data in the save menu like the previous game.
edit: The demo is a prequel to the game and does give a little bit of backstory into some of the characters though. Not really sure it is 100% required but up to you lol.
I guess if its a prequel I'll go for it.
Shouldn't take too long to get through it, it's really only annoying if you try and finish the play bonuses like rebuilding and bestiary completion.
There is some good grinding at the beginning of the demo though.
Ok so I'm loving this game (I still haven't played the first). What is really surprising is how good the gyroscopic scenes are. Also, since I didn't play the first, I'm loving the Bravely and Default system with the (what I understand is) new battle chain system. I think there were a few times I got 5 battle chains and gained a whole level from almost 0.
Bravely Second improves a lot on the first game. The chaining first round kills, the item to identify enemies, the teleporkers, the auto battle stuff... all of it fixes nitpicks I had with the first game.
I wanted to ask a question about the... cut content so to speak. I've been playing for a bit and I've done some side quests. I'm not quite understanding what was cut. It all seems like it's still there, and I'm still having to make choices. What exactly was cut?
So we get another bite at the apple of jobs we chose to skip?
Also, just saw this:
Yes, you can get every job, you just need to make the opposite decision when presented the chance.
(and part of the streamlining is, if you wanted to see the ending that you're already seeing, rather than the empty "did we do the right thing?" ending, you HAD to pick the same option twice, meaning you miss out on the other jobs and have to play through the game again.)
Wait what. That sounds really dumb. So you have to choose between getting all the jobs or getting good endings to side quests? >_<
How many chapters does the game have? I just got to chapter 2 and I'm already almost done with rebuilding the moon. Granted, I've been working a lot so it's been on standby a buttload
