I hope when the Cinematic X-Verse gets to the 21st century, they'll find some way to integrate them into the final arcs in MCU. I mean, House of M may have happened before Civil War, but the X-men had played a pivotal role in the overall theme of Civil War.

The Stamford incident shows them helping with victim recovery. Later they deal with internal struggles, but I could see them creating a storyline parallel to Civil War main story arc.

Unless ofcourse Apocalypse is the last in the series.
