For someone who followed 90s X-Men you sure don't know your storylines.
Psylocke (Elizabeth Braddock's mind) was trapped in Kwannon's body.
Revanche (Kwannon's mind) was trapped in Elizabeth Braddock's body.
Revanche died from the Legacy Virus around the time of Fatal Attractions. The joke being that depending on which Elizabeth Braddock you're talking about (mind or body) we could debate on which one was the great character.
Psylocke has always been one of my favorite X-Men though. No doubt Olivia will do her justice, but I think they really dropped the ball on Apocalypse and should have went the route Marvel went with Thanos.
This is what I was confused about. I wasn't sure if you were saying that Revanche was the better character than Psylocke.
I thought they were less switched and more got a half & half thing going, though?
I didn't get to read all of the things from the 90s, just what I could get my cousin to loan me. Also, I was like 7/8 when I was reading them so anything I do remember is vague. I actually picked up Marvel Unlimited a few months ago to go back through and read some other stories. I realize now my statement a few posts back was misleading.
Basically I watched the cartoon and loved it as a kid so my cousin gave me some of the 80s? comics with Phoenix and some of the Age of Apocalypse saga to read. I wasn;t able to get a hold of every storyline.
Basically the mind transfer wasn't complete, so they shared memories, powers, and experiences. Psylocke was more Betsy than Kwannon, but it made for a great mini-arc.
i am worried about Munn's ability to be serial. psylocke is always y so srs
I laughed

*laffed
Psylocke: A+
Apoc: F-
That is just laughable bad, like Sci-Fi TV low budget BAD....and I was so hyped for my favorite comic character![]()
They also said they haven't added any effects or anything yet
This is what I don't get. I know it was intended for an extremely limited audience, but they had to know someone would sneak a cell video and leak it. So why show even a short trailer with incomplete video and audio effects. I know they want to hype up the movie, but it's still a year away, and plenty of time to build the hype up without selling themselves short.
The early shots of Quicksilver from DoFP looked pretty cringeworthy too, and he turned out great. So theres still hope. Probably.
They should have just done the voiceover and not shown ESN at all.
All I could think of when I saw that trailer.... ._. There is still hope....Right guys? Guys...?
There's no way that Apoc was ever going to live up to fans of the X-men cartoons, let alone comic book fans' hype for this movie. With that said, I can't way to see Ivan Ooze, Skin Diamond, and Olivia Moon on the big screen.
Randomly got an alert that skin diamond was in the film only to realize the massive troll. Let. Down.
Wat? The magazine cover makes him look menacing but the trailer makes him look like Avatar Unchained.
They could have easily made him taller or bulkier and I'd be fine with his current look. The person playing him is just far too scrawny and short to feel threatening. It'd be like having Superman played by Tom Cruise.
That, and they got his powers all wrong from the sounds of it. His abilities go way beyond "oh hay he can control mutants".
Stop fucking with lore.
This is 2015, not 1985. Get real.
