So a lot of people are on the "so bad its good" train with this movie from what I'm seeing.

Cult classic inc?
I liked it, I knew what to expect. Acting and story, not great, but the movie was visually amazing, great action sequences.
Going tomorrow, some stuff I read on the net + low IMDB score have me lowering my expectations, but I still hope it will be a fun ride if anything.
So, seems like if you liked John Carter, you'd appreciate this movie as well, is that about right?
John Carter was the biggest disappointment in a movie in the last decade. Not that it was bad, but that nobody else seemed to like it, and we won't see it again. Both the wife and I came out of that one with the same feeling - it was like getting to go see Star Wars for the first time. It was amazing.
That's the same feeling that I had with John Carter, I went in expecting something out of the old sci-fi books I read as a kid and it was exactly what I expected and the gf and I loved it (what can I say, we're nerds). Then the internet was trying to make me feel bad for enjoying it lol.
So this isn't on the revolutionary level as Matrix 1? Maybe that's why people expected more?_?
Everytime I see big money Sci-fi/Fantasy movies like this they always remind of Chronicles of Riddick. This movie sounds like it will do about as well.
I think if you liked John Carter you'll probably enjoy this movie. I think that's safe to say.
I still don't understand why everyone is shitting on it. It's not award winning, but its not terrible either.
Movies in my mind that as I left the theater I was stunned- Jurassic Park, T2, The Matrix. I can tell by the previews I wouldn't be stunned
I think the movie would been better if the main two characters were different actors. Tatum + Kunis were a bad choice in my opinion. Especially Kunis. Didn't help her character is the typical damsel in distress but she sucks all around
^ was the first post I read and I have to give an unequivocal, yes. Saw it a on Sunday and wish I had a few more drinks prior.
Great movie visually, it was a lot of fun. Always will love Mila, she plays roles well. If you go into it looking for a good time, sold. If your precedence is Star Trek, GotG or any other solid SyFi we've had the privilege of recently...
If you are still on the edge about whether or not this movie is worth it one critic sized it up pretty well imo. It's WWE's rendition of a Midsummer Night's Dream.
Really didnt like it. I would rather be harvested then have to re watch this movie. Those boots really pissed me off, for something so OP he was the only one in the universe to have them, and why the hell would you chose wings over them, given what he did to the dragon man. His makeup irked me the entire move, worse then most of the round one kick offs from Faceoff tv show. Yes hes a wolf hybrid man that looks like a buff santa's elf.
Those shoes....
I'll put it up there with Skyline, movies that should not be in theaters but syfy specials.
Out today on Bluray/DVD
I thought this got bumped cause a sequel was announced and I was going to punch kittens. This was terrible.
