Returning player just getting started in SoA.

What staffs should I be getting for nukes now?

I have all of the mage jobs so I need advice for RDM too. All of my research has shown some conflicting results so I would like to get the debate settled.. It seems am update on stats shifted around priorities recently?

High tier nukes + Old stuff = Magian
Otherwise, Atinian (+1). For RDM, get the Baqil Staff

If you have the BLM mythic, upgrade it and use that

Right now for most your nukes get whatever has the most magic dmg stat on it. Which one will depend on your jobs amd how much effort you want. R/e/m are tops now iirc than atinian, wkr one and soothsayer/skirmish+1. If you are really hard core you can get magians for the cast time and the like 8 epells total they do slightly more dmg on... but really you aren't going to be using t5 and jas as much anymore and the dmg difference even on those spells aint much

Sorry I should have said atinian. Forgot that the relic/empyrean has more magic dmg but no int/mab.

For blm with 50 dint and total of +200 MAB from traits and gear not counting staff (not really sure if that's optimal but it's possible to get a decent bit more and makes for easy math) NQ atinian will beat magian on all single target up till and including aero 5 (albeit it by only a couple dmg), all agas and be really close on jas. Of course HQ will do a little better. R/E will beat antian at the really low tiers but even best case scenario of stone 1 wont be more than 4% and laevateinn smash.

Going back to baqil with the same amount of dint/mab for the rdms it will beat magian up till and including thunder IV. Don't care to do the math to compare it to empyrean lol

Of course that's just pure dmg. On anything where you have any chance of not capping land rate on mobs the extra macc will bust thru ftw
