Ok so just to summarize here, due to pieces and parts from various posts. the eminent pole doesnt work with Hagondes boots and what other equip (that we discovered so far)? And has anyone with these items posted it as a bug in the official forums yet?
New mandy pet with AA drops woot. Seems okish gets head butt, leaf dagger, wild oats and scream all costing 1 charge. None of them did great dmg. Like 400-800 in einherjar with ilvl 117 axe
...
Boar pet is a MNK but does not attack twice per round. (Doesn't have any WAR traits, but has Counter.)
so 2 MNKs, a WAR, and a frog. only boar seems good.
Yeah boar seems the way to go. It's buff move is rather insane to counter and gaurd rate. And it's the cheapest pet. Though that's partly because 1 takes akaso and another takes a drop from new AA fights lol.
According to what I read on alla they seem to naturally cap decently high. Like 115+ so that's nice too
the fish for tulfaire is a pain in the ass too
Is the Boar jug the one crafted with Lecerewe Meat?
yes
That's possibly a nice way to skill Cooking to ~103 or whatever it is then.
I reached 97 with Dawn Mulsum and was planning to reach 100ish with Red Curry, but that jug looks like a better option to me?
Well, supposing you can decently farm the Lecerewe Meat. Took me more than 1 hour to farm 2 stacks with BST and Falcorr (and 3 trust NPCs)
That AoE move is really annoying, don't remember the name but it does a very big amount of damage (is it % based?) and silences you. It was slowing down kills a lot when they used it. Plus, as I reported in the trust thread, Trust accuracy was really low on those sheeps. Me and my pet had no issues of course, I was easily breaking 4k Ruinators even before they used berserk, and my gear is far from the best around.
Drop rate was pretty balls on THF too. Despoiled sheep teeth, would be weird to steal meat from the sheep though lol. Wonder if the tigers in the zone can be despoiled/stolen from for the meat. Meat is like 10k on Siren atm though, so a lot cheaper option than red curry.
With a real healer who can stay at range and a THF with good gear I'm confident you could farm at least 3 stacks of meat in less than one hour, considering I farmed 2 stacks with TH1 (supposing Trust THF doesn't have TH2+) with a lot of experimenting and downtimes on BST.
There's a good farming spot SW of #3 and another one SW of #2 (which is where I Farmed).
7-8 sheeps there.
Either way, price should go down fast.
Speaking of which, anybody knows why on FFXIAH the new items added after a patch do not get history displayed until like 3 weeks later? Is that a bug or done on purpose? If so for which reason? To avoid people exploiting the AH influencing market prices?
Boar gets a 12.5% attack bonus
Are the records of eminance armor sets with set bonuses only active in full set? This is what i am figuring. Some of the stats dont look too promicing but an increase of 4 item levels over skirmish stuffs makes me want to use these until i get better stuff.
Yeah, only active as 5/5.
Concerning the bit about the ilvl, make sure to look at the stats (through the sea of stat vomit). Some pieces are nice for some things, mods and such, but overall, the gear is really weak. Outside of high base stats, you're treated with such amazing stats as... +5 att, +5 acc, etc. A lot of it, besides the stat vomit, has stats more resembling low ilvl bayld gear, or even worse. I understand the point of ilvl, but it's kind of silly to add ilvl 117 stuff, and make the overall gear quite weak. As a tool for catching up quickly though, it's all pretty nice.
Yeah the gear has basically no stats other than the "required" ilv stats and a set bonus, which seem to be:
-The 7 base stats
-Acc/Eva (simulating weapon skill/evasion skill)
-Magic Evasion (simulating C rank resistance going up)
-MDB? (not found on everything but they seem to stick it on a lot now)
-MAB/Magic attack if its mage gear
-Haste (since it's stronger than every other stat might as well flood it so it becomes a non-issue for the most part)
One thing I think they're doing well is the defense differences. Defense actually does shit now so people don't just pick PDT gear that's like 30 levels below because it still cuts more damage.
I think part of the reason they put an ilvl higher than the stats merit is for maybe because RoE was sold as mostly a solo event and it seems trust npcs are boosted by the ilvl itself. So despite the lower stats than a lot of the 113 gear it might actually be better to use some of them with trust npcs out
Well for example, I was gearing my character but my mule wasnt getting as much love. I did some dynamis and monster moves that used to do alot of damage still hurt the mule but i just dusted it off my shoulder. Skirmish (yorcia) came out and I got him like 4/5 gear so far and suddenly he isnt getting absolutely molested by astral flow for example, like he was before. So item level turning what used to be DC to incred easy prey, and adding magic evasion and defense and evasion really helps and also i dont have amazing augs on them either i jsut used nq stones and maybe some +1 stones on them.
The 5 acc and attacks is what was disappointing me alot, though they have decent stat vomit, So these reasons are why i was considering gettin some of these items, i jsut wanted to also make sure it was 5/5 for set bonus. Also i noticed whm is on what some would call light dd set and my mule has alot of skillin up to do (and also was considering if any of them would be good for melee whm WSing ect.
Also its nice cause of Trust magic i can go do these RoE quests on my whm solo while i continue to play as monster instead of groupign them up to kill 20 mobs and goin back to monstrosity.
Figured I'd mention this one as a quality-of-life/money improvement.
Although most people will do the usual Gusgen -> Crawler's -> Abyssea route for exping, I decided "Hey, let's level a little with just Records/Trust NPC to see how it goes."
To my pleasant surprise in East Ronfaure, the brown coffers now have a full set of low-teens armor in them (brass harness set, tunic and associated cloth armors). Random sampling elsewhere confirms similar levels of armor in other zones as well. Aside from being nice for newbies and more traditional leveling styles (and up through 50 or so, you can get weapons to go with them from the spark NPCs), it also means brown coffers are much more often a nice chunk of gil.
Unfortunately i still get just various potions lol. I was kinda hopign they upped the rate on the items that were rare to each zone coffers but i am starting to think no now.
