Do we know where the Domina Shantotto cipher comes from? Would it be a fair guess to assume it's from a new login campaign? Do you think it would be a rank 5 prize from the newest bonanza?
The bonaza prizes are already announced as are the current log in campaign
D. Shantotto is not up on SE's forum post about trusts, so it is safe to assume she's not available yet. Same page confirms that Moogle gives magic skill gain rate.
Since so many people seem to have a hard time with the Aldo, I followed some instructions from FFXIAH and figured it was worth repeating here. Went naked blm/whm with Bronze Dagger from Bastok Market's Weapon shop (sold in the back). When you first engage, use Stone for 15, make sure your dagger hit lands 2x for 14-16 dmg, use cure on your ally for 14 dmg. That always got me the 300% Magic Damage boost after the first eval due to Close Enough and Twin Points (little luck involved about dagger hits being either 14 or 15, whatever is needed to match the cure or nuke number). From that moment I just spam Water for 172 dmg. Somewhere during eval4 you run out of mp, so you just wait 2 Refresh ticks. This got me 7.9k for my Moogle team and 7.8k for my Gob team on the first try.
I'm actually having a problem getting the twins buff since getting the moogle cipher. I have matched my healing and my magic damage 7 times since then on both sides and its not giving me any sort of buff despite getting my physical damage within 1-3 points of their numbers. I don't know what I did to break it.
The buff that gives 2 out of 3 categories a 200% boost? They need to be identical. If you're saying you're getting like, Phys:97 Magic:100 Heal:100 and it's giving you nothing, try not getting your physical so close.
That's odd though, because you can definitely get both:

I've found if you are only shooting for the 3k you can make it just spamming water/stone with some int
What are the things dispensed from the Moogle and Goblin bags? Is it a status effect or what?
8,8k and 4,4k here.
Anyway, was thinking about the new recently added "geo-like" Trusts (Sakura and Moogle).
They work everytime, you don't need to be engaged.
Something like this would be kinda awesome for mage jobs, if they were to release more of them.
Think about a second more powerful refresh one which doesn't have the additional magic skillup rate.
Or another one with, I dunno, fastcast? Macc? Mab? Mdmg? Whatever really. It could be a good "solution" for the trust issue with mage jobs, without having them go through major revamps of the system. A compromsie like this would be pretty easy for them to implement.
It wouldn't probably be what some people have been rightfully asking for, but I'd call it an acceptable compromise.
So found something interesting with Aldo when leveling my ninja. I'm pretty sure it's a glitch. But at lower levels, if you use Aldo AND have Lion in your party, he suddenly has 0 delay. I switched to lv99, and summoned both him and Lion, he goes back to normal. I switched back to my lv10 ninja, he starts doing it again (Only when Lion is in the party).
So something Lion does to Aldo is breaking him at lower levels lol.
Spoiler: show
Omg lol hahaahahahh
Now if you could keep him alive that would be an awesome thing :D
Aside from this glitch, is it just my impression or Aldo pulls off better than average damage compared to other DD trusts?
Also, does he have TH like Lion and Nana?
He stays alive pretty well actually lol. Only thing is because the delay is nonexistent, samba won't heal him. He only gets 0s even if he isn't capped on HP. So I just rotate Kupipi and Mihli taking turns cure bombing him. Most the time when the mob hits 25% and starts using a WS, the mob is already dead before they can get it to go off.
He is a THF like Lion and Nanaa, so I assume he would have TH (not sure though). But yeah, his damage is pretty nice. Both his swings do about the same as mine as a sparks geared THF. He uses Bully + SA, or SA if he is positioned behind. So that's extra damage right there between his weapon skills. He seems to have decent haste, and triple attack rate I feel like. Only thing is he does have an AoE WS. So there is some risk involved and chances he will use a less damaging WS.
Why do they even bother giving AoE WS to these trusts... I won't understand.
You'd think they had learned their lesson from the original Fellow NPCs...
Does everyone fight in a herd of mobs where aoe wses are bad? I pull things to safe places to fight usually.
The point is you wouldn't have to do that (pulling away) if only Devs didn't give Trust an AoE WS which serves no purpose at all, other than forcing you to do what you say you're doing. I.e. pulling to safe places.
