The only logic they changed was for Cherukiki / Kukki-Chebukki.
While Shantotto / Cherukiki / Semih Laflihna / Kukki-Chebukki / Margret / Makki-Chebukki /
Tenzen II / Apururu (UC) / Yoran-Oran (UC) were all made to fight at range
In partial answer to my own earlier question regarding trusts and Abyssea lights, Balamor's regular attacks will give amber like a magical WS should. Mildaurion's will not (Magical in nature, but still count as a regular melee attack for lights).
Unless they changed it, Mildaurion and Ajido's attacks always counted as physical for RoEs and such.
Are Selh'teus' attacks light based or are they just physical?
I've never seen an increase when I do bubbles for balamor so I'd say physical
Aw lame, are his WSs light based magic dmg at least?
Never really noticed any of his dmg going up when using geo but kind of eyeballing....
Did find something funny today though. When Apururu runs away with her head cut off to max distance she can take the geo aura trusts with her lol. Probably depends on order you summon them but certainly was somewhat of a shock to lose my mab aura because of it
Yeah if you want geo trusts for a specific person you hotta summon the geo after the trust you want to follow. Otherwise you should summon the geos first to follow you.
I hate the mage trust buff. Apururu frequently pulls hate, which messes up SCs and/or pulls the mob close to aggro. Guess it's time to jump ship to Sylvie.
Wait, you want the mages to stay in AoE range? You just need to have an actual tank, trust or otherwise, for anything that takes more than a minute to kill.
There's nothing wrong with wanting them staying in AoE range. My DRG buddy had issues with the WHM trust pulling occasional hate and running around fucking everything up. He never needed an actual tank before, but now he either has to waste a trust spot for a tank or deal with the running.
I had Apururu out in aby today for a bit, and she definitely got my refresh atma. Not sure about the regen I was using; she's pretty damned good about staying safely out of AoE range as long as she doesn't pull hate and therefore the rest of my trust team with her when she runs screaming like a good squishy mage.
As for procs and lights, any procs they'd get would be random as hell, and I don't know about the lights.
Is there a trust that functions like Twilight Scythe? Wondering if it can be useful vs Escha caturaes in low man setup.
Nope.
The closest are Selh'teus, Balamor, and sometimes Teodor and August. (Not every one of their autoattacks are magic, and I still don't have August yet, so... I'm only going off of what I've been told.)
But they deal light, darkness, either fire or darkness, and (assumedly) light, respectively.
Perhaps August does? I can't test to find out.![]()
Yeah August's bow auto attack is magical. But I'm not sure what the element is.
Easiest way to test would be with Umbrils. If it's fire or light, they'll take extra damage.
Or I guess any undead...
But if it's just non-elemental magic damage... then it'll remain fairly consistent between all mobs.
