You didnt mention what tier, but I still dont believe eating a 1.4k CDC. Your phalanx must have dropped (does phalanx drop damage per hit, or for the entire WS combined?), or you were caught in WS/casting gear.

What about having Cor toss up some paladin roll?
Thats what I thought, but I figured I'd ask before making an incorrect statement, since its not posted anywhere.
If Brazen Rush caused every CDC hit to DA, thats 8 hits. 8 hits without phalanx (presuming -28 dmg / hit) is 224 extra damage. MS isn't a factor since I dont believe there have been any accounts of the AA's stacking any 2hr's, so its not like it was 8 critted hits.
I dunno, theres just something missing
I don't think I saw this anywhere, so I'll post. If you (like I did) completely derp and forget to make room in your inventory for your personal drops, it will hold on to them for you and you can pick them up one slot at a time by clicking on the exit (first click will load the rem's tales, second click gave me my beitetsu case).
Was thinking of Astral Flow I guess, which is 30'. Since AAs have pretty substantial PDT/MDT, maybe having mages use Bio II and other attack down abilities would be more beneficial than lowering their defense(since def down/dia won't help to overcome their PDT anyway), since as mentioned earlier, having high defense is actually worthwhile now. Might even wanna use Intervene under 25% when most AAs start getting spammy with weapon skills and self skillchains, or have a SAM present to rip hate and use their SP2
Was just saying if that's what you were looking for. Really haven't mathed it out being holidays and all. I mean yes def is relevant but it's not the be all end all so kinda curious how well they stack up. Even more so since it sounded like a few hits didn't get block. Mostly I just like how I managed to get full -crit rate and shield mastery and high amount of fast cast on it and haven't +1d my reverent yet
I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but weapons can drop from easy mode.
Can provide a screenshot, one sec.
Spoiler: show
Wow! Guess it's gotta be a droprate similar to VW pulse weapons though![]()
So is it more viable to finish all 5 and then spam DM for seals and items or are individual fights the best when you want a certain gear? Essentially, what is the best merit/reward ratio?
Best merit/reward ratio would be single fights imo, you get personal loot for each individual for each fight where as at the end of DM you only get 1 personal pool and everyone else has to fight over everything else, for personal gain anyway its better to do solo AAs, if you want to try and get some of the DM exclusive drops then obv do DM.
Is the hume one soloable at all?
I tried this one DNC/NIN but this relies mostly on him not getting lucky.....which he will at some point in the near 30 min fight. If someone gave outside buffs before going in (rolls/haste/songs) you might increase your odds by shortening the fight. Also /NIN was mostly a waste as time reshadowing didnt forestall overall damage. Perhaps /RUN for occasional eva boosts and higher parry rate and additional damage to speed fight. And I only made it to 25% before getting thwacked by a WS, still hadn't really considered his final explosion and what that might do to wreck it for me.
What's the buried trait for?
Wonder if I can solo Hume on SCH. Tried Elvaan but she makes kite nuking impossible with her Shield Strike every 15 seconds. TH probably helps weapons drop too, but most ppl don't bring THFs or TH outside of Bounty Shot. Maybe BRDs can sub THF for TH2 and Taru sash for TH3 :/
Hard to answer that, there are pros and cons, depends on your point of view, and it also depends on wether or not it's true that DM normal has slightly better drop rates than single fights normal (might be bias, not enough solid data to say).
Imho:
DM
+30 merits vs 100 merits
+Single fight vs 5 fights (longer than a single, but shorter than 5x singles)
+Exclusive drops
-Only 1x Personal lootpool
-Require more people
Singles
+Can do with 6 or even less
+Personal lootpool every time
This is how I see it.
Personally when you're in a LS and during events you normally split people to do single AA fights... in such a scenario spamming DM is much better.
If you're a soloer or in a small small group of people, AA fights might be better, especially if you can take them on harder difficulty levels.
Did my first difficult fights the other day (MR and GK) and QD damage was *awful* (couldn't break double digits on any element). Was using Eminent Gun and Scimitar for the Macc, capped skill, AGI in slots where I didn't use MAB... Any other CORs managed to get decent damage on them on Difficult or higher, and if so, how?
Second attempt solo on Hume, this time as DNC/RUN. Damage was solid and I didn't need to worry about time. He chained a paralyze spell, along with popping Brazen Rush Straight into CDC when fan dance was down. Caught me for about 800 and subsequently hit 3 times straight (rare as he was landing only at a 30% rate after parry). This when he was at about 10%. Its very possible and I could get a few more eva on to lessen the odds of this.
