DQ/FFXIV crossover event

The Horro and dozens of slimes will be visiting Vana'diel from the world of DRAGON QUEST X ONLINE!
What mischief will the slimes cause after stowing away on the Astoltia Ark, a ship carrying Horro to Vana'diel?



Event Details
1) Talk to one of the slimes in the following areas to participate:
Southern San d'Oria (K-9) / Bastok Markets (E-10) / Windurst Woods (H-11)



2) Catch slimes located in the wilds of Vana'diel!
Slimes can only be caught after adventurers get gooed-up with magic cast by friendly slimes located in the following areas:
East Ronfaure (G-6) / South Gustaberg (J-7) / East Sarutabaruta (G-11)



Players will be able to attack and capture slimes while under the influence of these grimy incantations. Capturing slimes will rewards players with slime coins.
* Players' levels will be reduced to one while under the effects of the slime magic.
* Players will be unable to attack or receive attacks from other monsters for the duration.

3) Trade coins for items.
Slimes located within city walls will trade the following items in exchange for slime coins:
Slime Cap (50 coins) / Slime Shield (30 coins) / Slime Earrings (20 coins) / Slimilation Candy (1 coin)



Players will also be able to acquire a Slime Fetish by fulfilling certain conditions.
Trading it to Suibhne in the Feretory will enable the player to possess slimes in Monstrosity.
*Trading a Slime Fetish to Suibhne will enable players to possess slimes from DRAGON QUEST X, regardless of the monster they are currently possessing.
*Unlocking DQX slimes will not cause players to lose the experience they have gained with their current monster family up to that point.

Spriggans have come to infest Vana'diel! Moogles appear to be able to converse with the quixotic creatures―but what could they possibly want?



Event Details
1) Talk to one of the moogles in the following areas:
Southern San d'Oria (G-9) / Port Bastok (K-7) / Windurst Waters (F-9)



2) Catch spriggans infesting Vana'dielian wildlands!
Only those under the effects of mysterious moogle magic cast by moogles in the following areas are able to capture spriggans.
West Ronfaure (I-6) / North Gustaberg (L-8) / West Sarutabaruta (J-8)



Those enchanted by mysterious moogle magic will be able to capture spriggans by vanquishing them in battle, thus turning them into chartreuse stone shards.
* Players' levels will be reduced to one while under the effects of the slime magic.
* Players will be unable to attack or receive attacks from other monsters for the duration.

3) Speak to the moogle who started the event to participate in a mini-lottery for special prizes!
First prize: one item from the following list
Green Spriggan Coat / Green Spriggan Club / Green Spriggan Lolli / Spriggan Spark

Second Prize: one item from the following list
Green Spriggan Club / Green Spriggan Lolli / Spriggan Spark

Booby Prize: one item from the following list
Green Spriggan Lolli / Spriggan Spark



Players will also be able to acquire a Spriggan Fetish by fulfilling certain conditions.
Trading it to Suibhne in the Feretory will enable the player to possess a spriggan in Monstrosity.

The slimes are stupidly cute.

For the Dragon Quest crossover:
You go out and fight slimes, while restricted to level 1. Standard stuff. Each kill on a slime gets you a slime coin, and will say "You captured the slime." However, the slimes can run away instead, when you kill them.
To spend the coins, you go back into town and talk to the slime you started the event at.
The prices for rewards were:
Slime Cap: 50 coins
Slime Shield: 30 coins
Slime Earring: 20 coins
Slimeulation Candy: 1 coin

Maybe more? Not sure how to get the Fetish yet, although my guess would be something along the lines of buying all the gear and talking to the slime.

Hope so.. either that or maybe find that NPC that the old guy (i don't play DQ no idea who he is) talked about in the CS..

just buy all 3 eq items. each time u buy an item, a cutscene will occur.
the 3rd one will give u the item.

Doing the Spriggan thing, Went out killed 30 for stones. hopped back in town and Each spin takes a stone, first spin got the club...next 9 were all candy/fireworks. I'm not sure if number of stones bump up my chances to win or what...but I'm back out farming. =/

Edit: farmed up to 50...first 7 of those were duds...just started spamming. 3 third prize (club) just got a 2nd prize (coat)...

Outta curiosity, started trading the spriggan next to the moogle crystals...and um...1 of each type gets you the fetish

You can team up, not sure about alliance but party works. Team up with ppl there to make it go faster!

i couldnt for the life of me figure out why i was gettin one shotted on my mithra. but my taru was having no issue. eventually i noticed with level cap i had 1 hp and didnt know why, i assumed my taru had merits in hp and that is why he had more but eventually i picked up on my dark rings with their -20 hp lol. got much better after i figured this out lol. up all night til 7 am does wonders onthe brain

Don't forget, you can get regen/refresh from FoV book for these events.

I think they made a mistake somewhere on the 14 one. cause i also got 3rd and second prize and got the choices they said in update notes for 1st and second.

Also i read but dunno if true that u get slime fetish when you buy all 3 items. the hat the shield and earring. can anyone confirm?

Can confirm three items gets you three cutscenes and the fetish.
Also, you don't need to have gotten the rank 1(2) prize to get the Spriggan. I just had the club and was able to trade crystals for it.

Protect from FOV book makes a big difference too, as does attack food. I used kabobs because it's what I had on hand but it made my atk go from 20 > 28 which made them one-shots with crits or two-shots min. when before is was taking up to three hits even with wyvern.

So are the slimes and spriggans actual real monstrosity "paths" or is it just a one off thing. Like is it a usable monster you can really level for doing things?

Doubt they get you more monsters since they don't really belong to this world but you can level them and they have instincts

I could have sworn i saw somewhere , where you get different slimes (I know there is at least Blue Red Metal but I probably just confused that with the rewards) I really wish there was a .dat mine so we'd know for sure.
