wow that's much cheaper than I would have expected. Would love to see Cream Soda's reaction to an ER bill. LOL

$500 for a life altering medical procedure insanely cheap although it should be treated similarly to other medical insurance claims. If the procedure is 'elective' (no endangerment to the woman, no, incest, no rape, etc. etc.) then it shouldn't be covered unless you're putting money into your premium for it.
1. Delivery EASILY costs more. Your post about a $500 delivery is not the sum total of the costs lol.
2. Not all insurance plans are the same. Some have deductibles upwards of $6000, making the cost of delivery highly relevant.
3. $500 is definitely an amount of money that could prevent someone from getting a needed abortion, I agree.
if someone is preggers and can't come up with half a rack in the first 3 months that baby is doomed anyway.
I was expecting 1300~2300 price range, 500 is a joke lol.
There's a reason why I went to McDonalds(Was funny to see how everyone looked at me when I walked in) instead of the ER when I did this
Spoiler: show
and that wasn't even the primary injury. My head hit the ground, but the car hit me in the legs while pedaling. Lol my knees hurt so damn bad, I didn't care about the head injury.
I don't do hospitals.
GDI I hate how I looked in those pics. Can see the fat in my face lol.
Of course, you're not of the group whom such legislation would most severely affect. It's another case of letting the poor stay poor, and making medical care a privilege rather than a right.
Well, that, and the whole "we can't kill God's babies" bullshit. (But we can starve or otherwise deprive them after they're born. That's cool.)
400 bucks and a month of no sex. Not sure if it was the right decision looking back but w/e.
This is one of the things that really really pisses me off. "We want the government to step in to make sure you have this child because all life is sacred, but once it's born, screw government help, it's up to you to pull yourself up by your bootstraps to take care of it."
Why is only one path of a two-way street considered 'elective'? Especially when one path (delivery) has far more life-altering consequences and obligations than the other.
No matter how you look at it, it's a choice to do one thing (abortion) or the other (delivery). Why isn't delivery 'elective' if abortion is?
If costs were the true concern, then if anything the pregnancy would be the elective because it can typically cost $15-$30k. But this isn't about the costs, it's about limiting choices.
Whoa whoa whoa. Calm your horses. I was talking about the price of abortions because Archi commented that he wasn't sure if CS would view that as cheap or expensive. I didn't say anything about the law itself. The law is stupid.
But thanks for making the jump from one point to another.
Hey tyrath, how was that tornado?
How else are the wealthy to get their tributes to play in the poverty games?
Well it's that or the people who feel God is going to ragequit (again) when he sees his mailbox full of return to sender babies he took all his time crafting out in the cloud workshop. If you recall, last time he sent Noah on an adventure to be a Pokemon master then decided to drown everyone. If we get a meteor thrown our way, just remember it's fueled on the souls of dead babies.
That is essentially my stance (pregnancy being the choice) and maternity costs are part of the premium you pay. I would agree that the particular legislation is aimed at removing choice, my comments were directed at large. I don't think insurance should cover negligence unless you pay for it in the premium although it's difficult to clearly define what that is in the first place in regards to health.
