Looks like it's a good thing that I won't need to log in for at least another seven hours.
Oh, the discussion here was how to afford an FC house on their own while farming 1 single item? Dang... I didn't know.
Fleece on Ultros recently = 22-26k a stack.
Savage aim III on Ultros recently = 26-29k a pop.
Titan sale on Ultros recently = 80-100k a pop.
Farm something while binding TIII materia. There is no way a person who puts in any effort wasn't able to make a solid 150-200k a day just for some simple farming.
Back then, fleece was about 65k a stack, while savage aim IIIs were about 50k a pop. That and 250k titans would net you a lot of money.
I mean, if you wanna be cute and look at anything anyone here says as a negative thing, just because you never took advantage, go ahead. Lots of people are sitting on 10-20 million, cause you know, they tried a little. lol
Some ppl are already ig. Wtf O_o

edit: nvm, he got booted.
I just want to get on and try setting the price for Ifrit's Horn, etc at a ridiculous level.
No, but apparently you also missed the point that how possible it is if I spent dozens of hours doing things I don't enjoy isn't relevant to how stupid it is to design the game like this.
But I guess I won't take away the superiority you feel from the fact you're going to have a virtual house.
You're drastically underestimating the time investment required for "trying".I mean, if you wanna be cute and look at anything anyone here says as a negative thing, just because you never took advantage, go ahead. Lots of people are sitting on 10-20 million, cause you know, they tried a little. lol
Yeah I was on for about 10-15 minutes - servers crashed and are back under maint.
Was on for about 15-20 mins and got 90k
If you guys seriously look at farming 3 stacks of fleece, while spiritbonding 2 sets of TIII-TIV materia (1.5-2 hours?) as huge investment, then I can't do anything for you. I guess some people just like posting for the sake of posting.
As someone who spent way more time than he should've collecting weapons in FFXI, I need to reiterate that having time or money sinks in the game isn't the problem for me, it's when you use them to bar casual content (or any game content, really) that it's retarded.
And yes, spending 2 of my precious hours every night for over 2 months killing sheep over and over is not what I want to do with my life (having fun while I play a game would be pretty cool). I get that some of you want to have "hardcore" content in the game because it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside but my point is that this place shouldn't be it. They should've had huge visual options for the house that you could sink gil into, that would've allowed more people to actually enjoy the content and still give you the chance to show off.
That's fine. I agree with you on that. The housing in FFXIV is the dumbest shit in the world to be considered the biggest time/money sink. As some of us stated before the game even launched, the economy across all servers will be the only real difference among all of us post 2-3 months and this is their way to even shit out I guess.
As for the bold part, I assume that's what sizes, districts or whatever, and furnishing are for.
As for me, I can't care less about FC housing.
Duty finder High roulette bonus is 750gil.
The problem I have here specifically is the notion that people suck at making money, when the reality is the people here who have 10 million or higher simply rode the money making trends before they got undercut to shit or neutered by SE and just simply hoarded their gil. Pre 2.1, Gil generation mostly comes from quests and WP runs, everything else is simply playing the market (while at the same time deleting gil out of the game), so the only real way to "make" gil is by making alts and spamming WP runs, and we all know how sick we are of spamming dungeons.
Then there's the fact that people keep citing Titan sales, as if every FC does that.
There's a large disparity between viewpoints here, and as per usual it's BG who is too stupid to realize people don't play the game in the same way they do.
