The second round of Tonberries onward no longer "despawn" and give stacks to Tonberry King.

Has anyone found out one way or the other if you can continue to obtain gear from CT if you've already obtained something that week, but nobody lots?

I've obtained a Ballad Crown for the week, but I'm never going to be able to test this until I can actually run with my FC. I almost got to test it last night on Fuma Tekko (no monks in the party), but the WAR Greeded on it, then when it dropped to him he was like FUCK! lol

This is for one of the Sylph Daily Quests. Definitely keep it if you're working on those.

If it's from the FATE in East Shroud it's for one of the Sylph daily quests.

Sorry if I missed it, but does anyone know if you can "pick" the map you get from gathering? Like, if I see a map that I know is shitty, can I cancel the node and grab another one, or was that my only shot at a map for the day?

Your map for the day is only if you actually "gather" that one....I think. I've been lucky with Peisteskin showing up in the last two days and can't confirm for sure.

edit: If this isn't true (which would be stupid), I'll probably be fishing for maps since they are only at certain fishing spots.

You can only obtain one map every 18 hours. If you don't mine, log, or fish up the map then you don't obtain it.

I must've missed that then. All I've seen is the constant rehashing of "You can't need or greed" which doesn't address it.

you can skip or deplete the node while ignoring the map, doesn't burn your 18hr timer… last night i kept cycling thru the cobalt nodes near CPP tip i finally got a Peisteskin. definitely much more rare than toad and boarskin, rejected probably 6-10 of each of those before i found a peiste.

Do the peisteskin ones give much better rewards then the boarskin ones? Had problems getting a group together yesterday to try the peisteskin one I mined up.

Can get Philosophy Tome mats from them (got 8 coke from one I've done, only showed up as 1 when lotting, but gave 8), 5 Mythology Tomes for everyone helping, some gil, bunch of random crafting mats, and I think in the minion thread, someone said a pet can come from it? It recommends 8 people, but I think you can 4 man it (haven't tried this yet though, only done two Peisteskins so far, with the same group).

You can probably duo someone of the 8 man maps depending on what pops. But you really wanna bring 8 people because everyone gets the 1-5k Gil. So it's actually more rewarding to bring more people.

if my peisteskin hasn't sold by the time i get home from work tonight, i'll probably take it off the market board and see if i can get a few ppl together to pop it. From other reports 4 ppl seems to be plenty if they're decently geared i guess. tank dd dd healer, as usual.

BTW, in Turn 1 it seemed the placement for floor aoe (Shadow Flare, Place for fairy, Flaming Arrow according to BRDs) is really funky. Like you can no longer do it on a "hex" at higher elevation than you. It's immensely annoying.

Oh it's not a lump sum split between party members like killing mobs in dungeons? I did my 8man yesterday and got a Chincilla Hide from it (bunch of HQ unspoiled node mats dropped, too but they went to members of the party). Only one D:

Love watching the prices for these maps tank to the point that selling them is not going to be worth it for gatherers.
