Can't wait for the bitching to come when someone contributes gil to FC, provides misc Cactuar / Ifrit / etc. furnishings, and then they get kicked from the FC at some point. Or the guy who starts an FC, buys a house, then kicks everyone out of the FC (can't disband FC, but you can still kick people). I never do vanity gear events and the housing system is just one big vanity event; not interested unless there are tangible benefits that aren't "+10 to all stats when under LV 20" type crap. /debbidowner /nofun

IDK Spike Flail is gonna be going pretty hardcore to try and get the 1st class large plot. Not sure how quickly we'll hit that 125mil mark though.

On that subject, I thought this spreadsheet is an interesting idea. They're taking information from FCs about how much money they've saved for housing, and hopefully people can keep it up to date on how much they've saved each week.

They said today they designed the prices around new methods of getting gil, with the goal being it taking 3~ months for a house. Problem is that 20k from daily roulette is the same on a cheap server as it is on one with 6x the house prices so... wat?

High pricing is obvious RMT trap. Can't wait for the announcement of thousands of accounts banned and hundreds of lands seized!

Comparison between Holy/Allagan, Onion, and Direwolf:

Holy/Allagan: rate - 181, strength - 181. Overall block rate of 28%, mitigation 28%
Onion: rate - 295, strength - 92. Overall block rate 39%, mitigation 19%
Direwolf: rate 108, strength - 288. Overall block rate 20%, mitigation 38%

All those values are rounded down because I don't trust SE to round in the player's favour, ever.

Over 1000 hits for 500 each:

Holy/Allagan: 280 blocks, 140 damage blocked on each hit, 39200 blocked total
Onion: 390 blocks, 95 damage blocked on each hit, 37050 blocked total
Direwolf: 200 blocks, 190 damage blocked on each hit, 38000 blocked total

Personally, I lean towards the Onion shield just because it's theoretically more likely to proc on hits you'd want it to (Death Sentence), but they're close enough together that I'd just use whichever you like the look of best. Personally, I have zero interest in PVP.
