Started to get into pvp with a few friends have a couple of questions. How is the vendor i70 pvp gear? Is it worth picking up compared to i90-100 pve gear?

The set is decent, my retainer enjoys wearing it xD. I would say it is up in the air, honestly if you have slots with i100 I wouldn't bother. Do not skip the i90 pvp gear though, the grind from 30-40 is huge. With 18k marks saved up before 2.25 and now almost rank 33, I've already obtained the i100 body, hands, head, feet, and ring.

This happens due to a bug. If someone clicks the withdraw button when your queue pops it can bug you out from ever getting a queue. You need to withdraw and re-queue if you don't get another one in a timely manner.

Just picking up PVP since the patch. Had a good bit of fun for the first two days but as others have mentioned que times have died so id rather do other random shit.. Which is a shame because i have to get that PLD set.

Im only rank 5 at the moment but any tips for trying to get up the ranks fast? Should i que with somebody else? Havnt bothered with any PVP gear or anything just rolling on my PVE i93 WHM Gear. Isnt there reduced EXP and reduced marks for going as a full group?

Also am i right in thinking that i only need to get to rank 30 to get the new gear? And if i want to deck out the Weapon / Shield & Armour (ignoring the rings etc) its going to cost circa 55k in wolf marks? Will i have to use some of them on my way to Rank 30 on the lower ilvl stuff?

If you want to actually wear it, you need to be higher than that. Each piece of gear lists the minimum required PvP rank to equip.

To further add, if you want to just have it for glamour you still need to meet the rank requirement. You can buy any piece anytime, but your rank determines if you can do anything with it.

I ran with a trio when I started so that we could get instant queues and stomp people instead of gambling with randoms. The only catch is trios don't get bonus exp/marks, so it is kinda up to you how you want to pvp. You're going to have so many marks total come rank 40 you won't know what to do with them. I haven't completely projected my total marks once I hit 40, but it looks like I could start gearing a second animal set from the 30-40 grind.

I have another question as BLM/SMN in pvp which skills should I be getting? I am currently PVP level 10 and got Purify and Equanimity (and Equanimity II) but not sure what to get next.

For both of you regarding smn/brd get the damage skills and up their potency. They're off the gcd so they are great for bursting down your target. Not certain about blm, but instant sleep is nice. I would also suggest putting in 15 points into stats.

Yea it cut me deep when I found out lol. Logged out at the npc to buy the body asap only to see my body turn to noct instead of the valor glamour I was using.

You can top DPS frequently when your team has good CC or the opponents are shit. A significant portion of that is going to come from bane/aetheric burst/aura blast damage. That said, I had the entertainment of soloing a WHM, MNK, and MRD recently (Mostly because the WHM was a moron and went on the offensive instead of curing himself lol).
