Yeah, Frontlines is fantastic. PvP has never interested me at all in any game yet after trying Frontlines this morning I've done 28 battles today.

EDIT: Guessing you can't but does anyone know if you can glamor PvP stuff out of PvP if you're below the rank?

You can glamour it, but it won't show up when you wear it unless you're of the proper rank.

Too embarrassed to ask in game, what's the /p equivalent in frontline to talk to all 3 alliances in chat? Got off to a late start on this mode

e: Now that I have some time to get back to it, so much fun. Every match I'm remembering more and more of my tools. I've remembered to set Blizzard 2 and Surecast on SCH. So pumped.

e2: Cool trick, unsure of practicality

Preload swiftcast > Aura Blast (SCH knockback thing) > Blizzard 2. Basically AoE Fluid Aura.

e3: Disregard, Blizz2 > weave Aura Blast does the same thing without wasting Swift. Though not 100% reliable so idk if worth it.

So, does accuracy actually factor in for frontlines? Trying to sub in as much gear for decent secondaries as I can.

Having a ball with this even though Twin Adders are proving to be a bit sucky. It's the simple things, like binding someone, buffing to the hilt right next to them, and then melting their face.

There is nothing finer than Blast Shot'ing 5+ people off the top of the Heliodrome.

Except for maybe that one time my party got overpowered up there and, in my last breaths, I jumped off the cliff and Holmgang'd an enemy White Mage off with me.

I can't believe I'm enjoying PvP this much. Now if only we could do full FC alliances instead of GCs.

I thought I'd hate the GC lock thing but it's pretty fun having the pseudo rivalry thing going on.

    I love you.

Also I'm doubting killing blow as the drone/node point-giver. Seemed to be majority damage. But I only have like a dozen matches in mid for any meaningful amount of time so don't quote me.

It is damage based, there's been times where I'm certain I got the killing blow and it counted for other team because they had most damage done to it. I could still be wrong I guess, but out all my matches, it's always seem to be damage based. I remember one time we got the node bonus despite our team being wiped out in the middle, but at the time we had done the most damage to it.

The biggest issue that's annoying me at the moment is figuring out what grants players bonus exp/marks. I was getting it consistently for a few matches too, then it stopped.

Pretty sure it's damage based. Like the above had a bout where the enemy Caster LB2'd us on the big Node and killed us all and we had to rez back at camp while they killed it and we still got credit.

As for my biggest issue it's how important the PVE portion of PVP is

Im not sure where the Twin Adder hate comes from?? Ive only done a few matches but Gridania has not come in 3rd yet in one. Seems like Uldah Flames is always the weakest team. They got stomped last night, their outpost was open half the time and routinely ninja'ed and they kept sending the same weak alliance using no PVP skills to markets and getting obliterated. Seemed like it was only 5 people too with 3 being squishy mages, IDK if the other 3 dropped or weren't cooperating but they were always outgunned.

Varies wildly by Data Center and time of day tbh.

    Adders are awful people tho

First few days before the fix the Maelstrom dominated, now they're typically last.

Did 5 matches last night as Twin Adder with 4 first and 1 third. Adder has a lot of good players on primal data center.

I believe you need something like 360sh accuracy to have a 100% hit rate on "enemy level" 50 targets from the front.

As for the blind from Flash, it doesn't lower accuracy, it lowers hit rate.

It's the same way that Featherfoot doesn't increase your evasion (as there is no evasion stat), it just increases your evade rate by 15% (if your attacker had a 100% chance to hit before, it's now 85%, regardless of their accuracy).

This would imply that Featherfoot should actually do something in high-end content... which it doesn't appear to, unless I'm mistaken. I'd take a 15% chance to dodge over fucking Awareness, but I'm using Awareness because Featherfoot never seemed to do anything in coil. Sooooooo, something seems a bit off on your explanation...?

    Certain attacks are always unavoidable.

You can dodge MB in Titan HM using Flash or Featherfoot, but not in EX because you aren't meant to circumvent the vulnerability stacks.

Likewise, attacks like Death Sentence can't be dodged either, and since you mentioned Awareness, certain mobs/special attacks will never crit (ie. dreadnaughts).

If a mob has auto attack Feather Foot can always dodge that. Thanks for the explanation though that explains a lot.

Featherfoot works in Coil tier 2, I can confirm. Melusine whiffs like a bitch when I pop it. Some attacks simply cannot be evaded.

Point #2: I still believe that capping the big node is about last hits. Flames took 70% of the node before Maelstrom showed up, but they managed to get the last hit after clearing about half the field out with a backstab. They got full credit after last-hitting. Much salt ensued.

This is one of those things that's gonna be disputed for a while, since there's no way to communicate with the other teams even if it's just to cooperate to get an answer to this.

You'd have to have a friend, from another GC, get into the same match, and convince both of your B parties to test one of the nodes while you communicated over voice chat with them or something.
