Ok, so I'm torn. Tried out a match on MNK for the first time, finally ran into an enemy party chock-full of healers (2 SCH, 2 WHM, assorted casters and a MRD) that actually made me re-think my position on how bad healers are. It was basically us (A) vs them for (in my perspective) the entire match, and we never took the base back until the very end. But they ended up losing by a ton anyways so I don't really know, maybe their mid team sucked.
What I found to ruin healerburn is Perfect Balance silence spam for a good ~10 seconds of "fuck you, no casting". But the first time I tried it I didn't really have the group behind me to take advantage. 2nd time it seemed to work; was able to zerg one down, then a 2nd, and the remaining 2 either blew their Divine Breath and Swiftraise or were just stupid.
Either way, only being able to be a "hard counter" every 3 minutes (or require 3 monks) is kind of extreme but I guess it's an option. Need more experience. And enough healers still basically make this pointless.
