Does having more people on a location increase the point yield/tic?
Does having more people on a location increase the point yield/tic?
No.
I'm convinced that holding 3 points + a strong presence in the middle will be a win at least 80% of the time. Sucks when I can't get people to listen. There is zero point to go for 4 holdings, you will just overextend yourself and end up conceding points.
Like herding cats in FL sometimes.
Was it ever confirmed that the longer you hold an OP the more points it yields?
Also, wtf @ healers that stand around with their thumbs up their asses with a full party and no one has Stoneskin.
I wind up having to cast that shit myself on MRD (and I can only cast it 2x before having to wait for MP -_-).
Semi-related: I just realized that Protect doesn't do anything in PvP since DEF/MDEF aren't a factor, was weird that it never occurred to me considering I did plenty of Den too and I'm only realizing it just now.
I don't think so. Just the doubling up for every OP you have 1>2>4>8>16>presumably 32.
RIP wolves den. you were fun while it lasted
Spoiler: show

They really need to make PvP points class/job specific, it's like point allocation only even more retarded because there's no cost/cooldown/penalty for re-allocation.
You're just forced to redo all the shit every time you change jobs.
Did full premade party for the first time. I don't know if I can go back to solo/not-8man queue.
Really the best part of it is just being able to say "oh look at A/B/C suck" in a "oh we're doing our job" way instead of a "oh they're ALSO not doing their job" way.
3 MNKs in our PT couldn't manage to land an LB2 on the node.
Minimal harassment from other teams, because they were all FOCUSED ON THE NODE.
YOU HAD ONE JOB.

They really need to give premades more priority on entering the queue.
We all got queue dings within 5min of breaking up and trying solo after, some on inprogress, some on a fresh round.
Okay, really need to disable alliance macros in FL. Just had someone who thought they knew wtf SPAMMING large instruction macros the entire run (they were wrong about everything, of course).
Was the most annoying thing ever.
Edit: And of course he's in the next 4 matches. People stopped listening but holy shit it just made him spam paragraphs more.
Queue in general just seem random as fuck from my experience, both solo and premade. Sometimes I can queue solo, get in pretty fast, sometimes I can wait up till an hour, get no queue, join a premade, then get a queue within 5min. Same shit happens sometimes when we wait in premade queue for awhile, then solo queue after it taking too long and end up getting a queue. For the most part though, when I do go in premade, usually only takes 10-15min tops, sometimes 20min. The best part I love is when I solo queue, then a friend does the same after I've queued already, he gets into a match before I do, then gets into another right afterwards while I'm still waiting to just get into one. This is why I find the queue to be all random as fuck majority of the time.
Whenever I get a queue over 10 mins I just withdraw and requeue. Usually get insta-queued or put in within 2-3 mins then.
I have no idea how their queue works but it honestly wouldn't surprise me if it did something stupid like not bump people up as alliances enter. Like say for example you get something like
Instance 1 - Full
Instance 2 - Full
Instance 3 - Mael/Flames full, Adders not
Instance 4 - Mael full, others not
1/2 then exit. So instead of filling out Adders in 3 so they can enter. It goes back to filling out 1 which is now empty. So the only way 3/4 can pick up members for Adders is if 1/2 are in progress. And that's why you can be queued ages without entering (stuck in instance 3/4 queue), withdraw and get insta-queued (1/2 arent in progress so refilling). And for more in demand GCs you can get shafted because the lower demand GC's don't get the members to match up with your instance.
It's probably not that but it wouldn't surprise me if it was something similar. Only explanation I can think of for the bizarre queue times
ehh i had aero for a while but i swapped it out with surecast. definitely finding surecast super useful in trying to extend my borrowed time when i should have been dead long ago.
