    You will prolly get more errors when using dev over normal version all the time being its a dev version, for testing new stuffs/fixes ect...

    They're the same internally, just values that get popped off the stack when the scope (i.e. the function) terminates. So yeah, parameters are identical to local variables in all their rules, they only differ by definition.

    I'm trying to get the macro book code to work for my BLU.lua but it doesn't seem to work.

    I copypasta'd this code to the bottom:

    end
    then at the top I put:

    Didn't work. Then I noticed my other luas have a line for mote-include:

    Tried that but now I get an error:
    Line 175: Attempt to call global 'init_gear_sets' (a nil value...) etc.

    Would rather just modify the lua than using a completely different one, it's not hugely important that the macro book code works but it's convenient. Thanks in advance!

    Is there a sets.WS.Stardiver ? you can't add onto a table that doesn't exist. So there has to be a sets.WS.Stardiver before there can be a sets.WS.Stardiver.Upukirex

    Hey, I've been having a little trouble with gearswap for the past hour or so. It seems that when I cast enfeebling magic or elemental magic, it switches into my fast cast set and does not switch to my midcast set for those respective spells. It is however switching for cure spells.

    Sometimes when I cast on BLU I get a really lowball number, even on TW or Fodder. Like I was in abyssea, heavy striking some goblins for Azure and I noticed it would vary between 3000 and 3800-4000. It was very bimodal. It was either 3kish or 3800-4k. When I locked gear in, it was always 3800-4000. So I turned showswaps on and unlocked gear swaping and even when it showed sets swapping properly between pre and midcast, sometimes heavy strikes were hitting for 3k. When I locked gear in, I NEVER saw the low ballers. Additionally when spamming subduction on things, it would always do 3-4kish, but occasionally it would aoe everything for 500-700 which made me think it wasn't swapping properly(doubt 10+ mobs would all resist simultaneously).

    Does GS fuck up when spamming like how spellcast used to? Are packets being lost or something? It's weird seeing some of my Sinker Drills hit for 1800 and takes 60% of a TW mob's HP, then the next few sinker drills do well over 5k+. I'd chalk it up to missed hits on Sinker, but for it to happen like 30% of the time doing less than 50% of the max damage seems like there's a problem with gear not swapping properly? Can anyone take a quick gander and tell me if there may be a conflict somewhere in my Lua? I know spell tables are probably more efficient, but I don't have the time to pick up a new lua and start carrying over my preferences/gear.

    One thing for sure you could cut alot of code down with something like:

Also Im not sure what happens if you have both CA and Efflux up with your code.

    Hello- I wanted to edit my blm lua so that when manafont is up I use a different equip set. I have:

    if (buffactive["Manafont"] then
    equip(sets.Midcast['Elemental Magic'],sets.midcast.Manafont)
    end


    I get an error msg I get is: ' expected near 'then'
