I wish they'd merge and nasomi can continue being insane when it comes to banning RMT/cheaters and the Eden team can do the development. Both parties have too much pride in the shit product they are delivering though

I referenced reddit and ffxiah as well when talking about you constantly posting about it, your lack of intelligence never ceases to amaze. You shit up the official forums with it too until you were banned. I'm done responding to you though as you're clearly just crying out for attention as you continue to shit up everything related to the 75 era of the game. No one cares that you don't like it, different people have different tastes. Discussing the merits Nasomi vs other private servers, is one thing. Discussing if its worth playing on the server because of its specific flaws is also legitimate.

But the "75 cap era sucks, retail is better" is a discussion that's been done extensively on other threads.

If you legitimately wanted to have that debate you should have participated when I took on all challengers a couple of months ago and defended that Kings were the Pinnacle of MMO content

75 cap Era FFXI was the best FFXI, anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong.

also for the last page folks mentioned private server "transfers" of sorts. From a position of experience, I can say that's a tough one to pull off. We offered a baseline transfer when I managed Fenix server, but it was limited in scope to avoid drama from our playerbase. We would allow players with active XI retail accounts to verify their account on ffxiah.com. or in game. Once they proved they were legit they could chose up to three 75 jobs to port, and 10 select pieces of gear (excluded items such as k.club and other top tier items were blocked from transfer). We also allowed instant completion of main quest lines given they had proof of completion. We allowed transfer from other similar private servers as long as the difficulty and ease of access wasn't too low on their prior server, same rules applied for transfer process.

Needless to say, even with the rules in place and minimal items being brought in transfer, it still riled up our long time players and I completely understand why big servers like Nasomi don't do it. We had usually 50-75 online on fenix, it was more of an effort to push recruitment lol

Again, criticism of private servers for bugs and administrative issues is fine. But if you want to go into generic private servers are bad why don't you play retail it's so much better, there is going to be a base obligation imposed on you to bring something new to that discussion that hasn't already been answered previously on other parts of the forum.

I originally came in here to drop my opinion on how terrible these private servers are, that is within the discussion. FFXI retail being 50x better was something brought up by others here who didn't like my opinion on the private servers. I gave a detailed reason why I think they are garbage earlier on that you can read.

Yes FFXI is amazing, I love it and these private servers are nothing compared to it. I actually stopped posting in here until I saw you whine and cry about how the big bads in the private server hurt your feelings and it made me remember that I said something pretty similar and you went crazy like usual.

Why I'm allowed to continue? Dude, this thread has been MONTHS without a post, who gives a fuck if I leave my opinion. Why does it bother you so much? I think that would be a more interesting discussion. I actually like private servers when they are worthwhile. I've played Ragnarok Online through private servers in the past and I've wanted to try Star Wars Galaxies on a private server but never found a working one. The problem with FFXI p servers is that they are garbage that are missing a huge portion of what made the game what it was and they are held together with tape, which is saying something considering the real FFXI is spaghetti code. I think it would be amazing if they finally got it right and created new things like other p servers do.

It's pretty incredible and constantly surprises me how people who have never met me personally or even interacted with me can create such hatred and animosity. I feel like they see me as someone who supports XI and they take their bitterness out on me for the game in some twisted fashion.
