It's funny you mention that, because it seems like a possibility. Ol' Fred was excommunicated from Westboro by the rest of the clan back in August. No true known reason why, but most of the speculation is that he started trying to repent for all his hate over the years in the face of death.

I am not one to speak ill of the dead, and I generally find it rude and disrespectful to speak ill of the dead. I generally have difficulty with a lot of the joking in this thread because I think it's inappopriate to laugh at people's deaths while others are grieving for them ...

I feel we can't ignore his passing. But if people do picket his funeral, the messages had better all be positive messages. However, I think picketing it in general is probably a bad idea as it will just justify the picketing in their minds.
