Holy fuck that's nuts
We're at 25 dead from the storm in my city, and honestly that could easily go way up. There are still a massive number of cars stuck out in the streets and, in some cases, there was no viable way to rescue.
I was in shorts and a tee today in LA. That sun was really roasting me when it peeked through the clouds.
Euro prediction model for the storm next week;

Damn it. Looks like another work week at home.
Looks like you won the lotto Corrderio. Only got 3 inches where I am.

Yeah I peeked outside in the afternoon and holy hell at the accumulation. They have the roads around the apartments plowed by piled up all the snow in front of the attached garage stalls for now.
Rain, rain, and more rain here in central coast CA. I am glad that I live on a ridge top. Just sitting here hoping that the power and road both stay intact.
Bay area has had multiple offramps and at one point an entire freeway closure on both sides due to flooding. The last storm also created a massive sink hole outside the Oakland Zoo, and it's going to now be closed to the public for at least the next 4-6 weeks for repairs, assuming it doesn't get worse from this new deluge of rain we are getting.

At almost a foot of snow now. Another three inches or so expected to fall overnight.
Rain so bad around the area in LA my work site is shutting down tomorrow due to flooding. I get forced to take another PTO day. Hurray vacation extended!
Yeah we haven't had consecutive atmospheric rivers like this in a few years. Wind advisory and flash flood watch in every hilly part of the basin through tomorrow. We're looking to get 2 inches here in DTLA as this thing starts spinning into socal overnight. Good luck as this monster moves east, rest of America.

We are supposed to see 8-10" of rain at my house by tomorrow then a day break from the storm then another 8-10" from the next storm. Should make for some excitement along the coast.
I grew up in Florida through multiple small hurricanes and tropical systems so I'm having to educate people here in the bay area how to prepare and stay safe.
Assume you WILL lose power at some point.
Don't drive through water ( yes this should be common sense but..)
Bring in your fucking plants and shit or anything that you don't want blown away or damaging someone else's home or areas.
Last but not least..make sure your alcohol/edibles/ drug of choice is well stocked, lol.

I hope all the Cali people here can stay high and dry.
On the upside of this thing between all this rain and the snow in the Sierra's maybe this will get you out of the dought and refill all the aquifers.

I've been moist but chill. Starting to let up a bit where I am.
