2 dead and 1mil w/o power in FL.
Parts of A1A washed out by the storm surge in Flagler county. Rough goings out there.
The problem with Tampa Bay and storms is that should one come up through the bay, the storm surge would likely cover all of Pinellas county and 3/4 of Hillsborough. I'm roughly 40 miles inland from the Bay and I'm only at a 22ft elevation lol
The storm wall at the old Spanish fort in St. Augustine is now under water. That whole neighborhood is probably fucked.
Current water level there.

I like WindyTV better. https://www.windytv.com/
Well, I left georgia(yeah can you believe this little cared about state is getting nailed?). I had a fight with my mom over trying to get her to leave. Fuck it.
Meanwhile, Nicole is laughing at the morons paying her no attention.
Got power back at 10am this morning so was basically out for 24 hours and now everything is back to normal!
That's awesome I hope others are as lucky soon too. Those who work around the clock to help restore power and the first responders are amazing.
Yeah, I actually saw the guy fixing our power line. I told him how much I appreciated what he was doing and gave him $10. I had also offered to get him a drink or some food as he said he had been working through the night but he insisted he was fine. Either way, it looked like it made his day.
You're awesome for that ! It really can mean so much just the offer of generosity during the course of things.
Dry and windy. Wildfires blazin up.
Florida and the Georgia coast literally dodged a bullet. I know there is some damage but it would have been so much worse if the eye wall had raked the coastline all the way up.
I have friends now in Virginia that didn't think the flooding would be bad and are scrambling now and trying to drive through that stuff. It worries me because flash flooding is so dangerous and looks can be deceiving. It also doesn't just stop once it stops raining it can take weeks![]()
Not much flooding at my house in Norfolk, but not much power either.![]()
Oh wowYeah my friend is in Norfolk actually and mentioned their garage flooded last night and saw a photo of a ride way completely submerged but I imagine different areas could be worse.
