Almost 60 in NY right now. Absolutely loving it.
Cold. Just cold.
Upstate NY, 51 degrees, 4' snow banks on the ground, looks like hot springs with all the fog.
Will be back to negative temperatures this weekend I think.
My wife just sent me a picture of our driveway. I didn't shovel the whole thing because it's a large driveway and we only have one car. There was still a few inches of snow on it last night, maybe an inch or two when I left this morning, now it's completely clear. The drive down to NYC was foggy for a while before I hit Westchester because of the snow, lakes, and reservoirs. It's 58 in the Bronx now and 63 up near me, about 60 miles north.
Who's ready for all the deaths from ice on the roads/sidewalks in 2 days?
I am.
Yeah, you're getting hit with Hunter at a worse time. You're also closer to the lakes.
It was more about the roads freezing over and me having to commute than the actual temp.
EDIT: We got down to -14 last week. I'm not a stranger to those temps. Think we had a frostbite warning of 5 minutes because of the wind chill.
tfw you realize that "new" sign on the road is really just the first time you've ever seen the "watch for ice on bridge" sign open.
prescott arizona, up in the mountains, not flagstaff up though, we got our first precipitation since august about 3 days ago, sitting about mid 60's today, i dont think we will have snow that lasts past 8am this year at all lol
Had about 5 inches of snow this morning when I got up and it's supposed to continue through 2/3 pm. Would have been a good time to take a snow day, but my office is only supposed to be getting about an inch throughout the whole day so that's out the window.
Wife decided to stay home so I told her to keep an eye out and let me know if it gets worse so I can get home. Took me 3.5 hrs last time we had a snow storm.
Snow isn't sticking here. Just an annoying goddamn commute.
Yeah, I'm in my office in the Bronx. Just wet and kind of cold, but not nearly as cold as earlier in Dec/Jan.
Going to drop down to 6 tonight up near me, so it seems the snow will be sticking around a while.
You won't. It's above freezing up there.
