It is so fucking hot that even with the air conditioning running in our bedroom last night the lowest it got was 80 degrees. It was about 110 yesterday at my house during the day.

Was in the 80s late in the week now it suddenly dropped to the 60s and slowly increasing over tiem to 75 this weekend. Nice to have some open window weather minus it's going to rain next 2 days.
Got a bit of reprieve from the heat wave in my part of SoCal. But the sky is Smokey and the air is bad....but fuck it I’ll take it. It’s nuts how my area was within a 7 degree margin of Death Valley.
I'll take the 38°F drop compared to 48 hours ago. At least one could walk outside yesterday and today compared to the 117-121°F/49.5°C on Sunday.
Nice and cool today at my house in central California along the coast. We were again at 110 degrees yesterday but much cooler today. Though like others now the smoke came in so the world is orange outside and my head hurts.
What's going on in Colorado reminds me of an old GI-JOE episode where Cobra is using their weather manipulating machine.

SF at 12pm PST today. Feels like I’m in Bladerunner.

Oh hey all those old 80-90's dystopian movies were right! The sky does turn orange in the apocalypse. This really is the end boys, here comes Mad Max or Judge Dredd(Stalone era).
Holy shit. That's surreal.

Frost advisories and record low temps in early September. Back to the 80's next week, though.
After a week of haze but mostly not weird orange and only moderate air quality, it smells like straight campfire this morning.
The sky is finally again for the first time in weeks. I had gotten so used to the smoke it didn't even register. Though apparently winds this week may force them back..

We got down to "moderate" here finally, although I'm doing construction so I'm covered in plaster dust and shit lol
Yay, Las Vegas tied its record for longest dry streak today....

About 5 months now of no rain.
