    I like Jishnu's for anything AA-related. Using Eminent Bow + Raaz/Tulfaire. Does no less than 2k damage typically. Apex is good but damage fluctuates too much to be reliable for me. Against Eminent Gun + AH ammo it (Jishnu's) surpasses Wildfire damage (for me)

    Well I did it today in difficult, my coronach was doing 1900 in average as high as 2200sh with berserk... With a gimp brd(2 songs no relic or +3 instrument) 2x prelude and sushi.. My acc was capped... Could have used RCB... And didn't had cor.. So no external atk buffs

    I never pulled agro, the other rng was using eminent bow, and just pulled agro with SP2... I used mine w/ decoy just in case.

    Didn't parsed that fight so can't really compare with the other rng. But compared to that rng you mention here.. Could say that wasn't really good...

    I can only assume you meant Last Stand?

    Whilst awaiting the completion of my relic gun I have tried using both spark weapons. I found that using JR even at 130% seemed to pull hate and was hitting between 1800-2400 on Diff hume. Last stand with the gun was hitting 1600-2200 but didn't pull hate even when decoy was down. Considering I was @12 yalm for both to avoid circle blade and other aoe stuff the gun was at a disadvantage for its range. bow was still getting
    "squarely".

    If you did mean Wildfire then disregard above statement and answer this:

    Why would you use an elemental WS on things with such High M.eva + MDB and then compare it to a physical WS ?

    Sorry to hijack your thread.

    I can't find the STP values needed for Eminent weapons as they have distinguished delays. Is it worth using STP for those weapons or just go standard TP set? Sorry, I am very new to RNG as well so I'm still learning lol.

    I've been opening with decoy shot and double shot on these fights. my only 119 weapon is illapa. I was probably too cautious and should not have bothered with wildfire instead of LS for enmity concerns. when decoy is down, you can tp with camouflage up to minimize your accumulated hate. I TPed for the entire duration of camou. If the other RNG (relic or not) are also decoying on your tank, you should be able to open up and LS/Apex once camouflage is used. illapa worked fine for me vs TT; avg LS for me was ~1800 with expensive delve bolts. I did pull hate on TT for a bit, but that's because lining up for decoy is not easy with the teleporting.

    In my experience, you can't decoy WS or barrages, in case anyone was expecting to use that as part of their approach.

    I've been doing a lot of AA fights (mostly Hume) on my RNG and even though I'm not a relic owner, I do pretty well even as /WAR.

    The biggest thing is to ride Decoy Shot as much as possible and be sure to keep tabs on the timer. Once it's down and you get too over zealous you'll pull hate and get destroyed. So what I do when Decoy is down, I just slow down my attacks. I'll take a few pot shots if I'm low on TP. I'll build up to 100 and as soon as Decoy is back up, use it and open with Jishnu's. Other than in one fight where the PLD got careless and was one-shorted by CDC because I pulled hate trying to finish Hume off (wipe at 1%) I have been parsing at the top or near the top in DMG output.

    And to answer someone else's question about how far away you can stand from the AA and safely Decoy Shot onto the PLD, here are the distances that work for me. Bear in mind, I haven't fought MR or EV. For Hume, 10.5 is perfect. You're out of Circle Blade range and also out of range of his frontal cone attack whose name escapes me memory atm. You're in the "sweet spot" as well so you'll be doing max damage. Now for Galka, best range is at 12.5. This puts you out of range of its Dragonfall AoE attack. Unfortunately this takes you out of the "sweet spot" so your DMG won't be as good, but your range attacks will be hitting "squarely" which is still good. I have yet to see if Utsusemi shadows work with Dragonfall so I can't say for certain.

    Not sure how that would help. With enmity-20 and decoy shot, rng will accrue 0 enmity.

    Sct. Beret +2 -5 enmity
    Hurlbat -4 enmity
    Illapa -5 enmity (if you're not using Namas or Coro)
    Orion Socks -4 enmity
    Lutian Cape -5 enmity

    thats -23 enmity in gear most rangers should already be using (-18 if using yoich/annil). You wouldnt get much mileage out of high jump.

    High jump wipes a portion of your enmity, I think you're confused. I don't even know if VD would even be possible with non relic rng without making use of high jump.

    I think for Eminent, Echidna's etc bow, squarely can cover any range between 8' to 14' (between 9 and 10 being 'true strike'), But I know Decoy shot will "work" as far as the shooting range of the weapon, but if you're 20' out (keeping it within WS distance), it's not going to be as heavy a hit as being under 14' as you explained (due to squarely etc).

    Orion Beret (109) Gives Enmity-5 too, while it may not give the 25% recycle, it's better defensively, and increases your rapid shot activation (which scout's beret doesn't do). I only use Scout's Beret if I'm concerned bout saving ammo.

    In the Absence of the JSE Cape, Moondoe Mantle can be purchased and has -5 Enmity (also gives Racc+9 Ratk+9), Sylvan Chlamys gives -3 while also giving StoreTP+5.

    auged AF2+2 hat gives 1TP per recycle merit if recycle procs (which is almost always now), which is why I didnt look at orion beret.

    Suppose you could, but I don't know how much additional help -7 would be while under decoy shot (or without I guess). Though I couldn't tell you what was super important in the ear slot as I tend to use kind of a one-size fit all set of accessories.

    ie: while engaged I typically have Steelflash+Bladeborn (combined they give Acc+8 Atk+8 StoreTP+2 Double Attack+7% which other than the StoreTP isn't really useful ranged), when I Fire off a ranged attack, it's typically a Volley Earring + Clearview Earring, and firing off a weapon skill, it's Moonshade (TPBonus+25/Ratk+4 augment) with the Clearview in the ear. Only other ear piece I have for rng is the Tracker's Earring which gives -30% PDT when my HP<25% TP<100%.

    A more experienced ranger may know better, but I think having my ratk+4/racc+8 and some StoreTP in the ears is probably more beneficial than that -7 enmity (plus at that price?).

    so a single 1% TP per shot when it procs? Versus the extra Ratk+14, Increased Rapid Shot Activation, +10 more Str, +17 More Dex, and +21 more AGI? (not to mention the extra evasion and magic evasion if you do get aggro'd). Is that 1% TP worth that much?

    Camouflage

    Long time viewer and long time RNG. I made an account today so I could post some information as well as get some help with the RNG Lua GearSwap.

    I use Camo when the Decoy Shot effect is off. As posted in BGWiki:
    Camouflage reduces the enmity generated by ranged attacks while it is in effect. While ranged weapon skills and abilities will immediately make the effect of Camouflage wear off, normal ranged attacks may still be used and have only a small chance to make the effect of camouflage wear off.

    I currently sport the 119 Yoichi and spam Namas Arrow. I've yet to pull hate.

    I too was also wondering in the RNG GearSwap Lua posted where the snapshot set was. I currently use the spellcast version and have a precast set for my snapshot set. It makes a huge differnece in DPS in the overall fight.

    Thank you for the info thus far. This forum has always been a source of great information. I just didn't see anything mentioned about Camoflage.

    1 TP per recycle merit...so 5...unless for some reason you didnt merit recycle.
    If you're getting 20TP per shot (which you should be able to), you're now getting 25 per shot. 5 hit turns into 4 hit.

    So yeah, it is worth that much.

    That's interesting to see about Camouflage! I never knew that! I'll try it tonight and see if I can keep shooting like normal while Decoy Shot is down.
