So would TPing in 5/5 Orion +1 AND doing Last Stand in 5/5 Orion +1 be a stupid idea or would it be ok?
Also i asked but wanted to ask agian, TP hands, Mani R15 VS Orion +1 when RACC isnt an issue. Which, Go!

Why would you use a full orion set ?
The bracers for example don't give StoreTP, doesn't give Racc, Doesn't Give Ratk, doesn't give Snapshot, gives Enmity-4, and enhance barrage/shadowbind which at best is a macro piece. It's kind of a no brain-er just looking at it.
To break it down
Mani R15 (regardless if Ratk or Racc route) Beats Orion +1 hands on
Enmity : -7 versus -4
RAtk : 15 (+10 or +15) vs nothing
Racc : 0 (+10 or +15) vs nothing
Snapshot : +4% vs nothing
Recycle: +10% vs nothing
The main thing Orion+1 wins on is a higher base stat (def, dex/str/agi/etc) and adding +2 to Barrage and +12 o Shadowbind, and with just that, you would only macro in the Orion+1 when you're using Barrage or Shadowbind.
Ok I just did AA Mithra on my Ranger. Best range is 10.5. You're out of range of her AoE attacks, but depending on what pet she uses (she used Tiger) you might get hit by something from the pet. The tiger Roar'd a lot and I did get hit with Claw Cyclone once for 500 dmg. Other than that, there were no issues.
Jishnu's Radiance landed for 2.4k to 2.8k when all hits landed. 1.6k-1.8k dmg when I only got a 2% TP return from Jishnu's.
This is clearly not the most scientific method, but basically I figured I'd try a quick run comparing if I used Empy +2 Head and Iuitl Gaiter for their Snapshot Benefit and see how it compared with my DPS using scoreboard.
DPS of just ranged attacks against Blanched Mandragora after each kill
Using Echidna's Bow + Tulfaire Arrow, and under the effect of Velocity Shot
The precast pieces, and the typical midcast swap in (the midcast doesn't change during testing).
Using both Sylvan Gappette +2 (+5% snapshot) and Iuitl Gaiters (+10% Snapshot)Code:sets.precast.Misc['Ranged'] = { head="Sylvan Gapette +2",neck="Ocachi Gorget", hands="Iuitl Wristbands",ring1="K'ayres Ring",ring2="Rajas Ring", back="Libeccio Mantle",waist="Scout's Belt",pants="Nahtirah Trousers"} sets.midcast.Misc['Ranged'] = { head="Orion Beret",neck="Ocachi Gorget", hands="Manibozho Gloves",ring1="K'ayres Ring",ring2="Rajas Ring", back="Libeccio Mantle",waist="Scout's Belt"}
*This setup seemed to be missing shots every so often, even though there's no Racc difference between AF3+2 and Orion
248 195 194 212 253 189
222 201 191 216 179 197
2497 / 12 = 208 average DPS
Using just Iuitl Gaiters and keeping head Orion Beret
204 239 217 225 287 246
223 263 190 174 246 209
2723 / 12 = 226.91 average DPS
w/o Iuitl Wrist and Sylvan Gapette +2, staying with Orion and Manibozho in both precast and midcast.
157 208 201 217 223 260
195 261 198 260 274 213
2667 / 12 = 222.25 average DPS
I don't have an impulse belt for the +3% snapshot, but I just thought it interesting that if I precast the empy head, suddenly I'm missing a bit, and while snapshot seems to proc more, the misses are causing lower overall DPS. (which sort of has me confused cuz there's no RACC difference between using either head, unless the base stats like AGI counts towards it).
snapshot isnt a 'proc' trait, its like fastcast and haste, its always there. maybe you mean rapid shot?
unfortunately, rapid shot is something I actually wish I could remove. Its detrimental, like quick cast.
Well I don't really mean in terms of it procing, I know that from the description, if I have ~30% snapshot then it's ~30% reduction to the ranged delay (and from what is said, only needs to be in the precast to take effect), but if an extra 5% reduction is causing misses due to the loss of some other stats, then it's not helping the overall DPS as would be suggested by some who say should stack it up (except I thought the stuff like racc/ratk would usually take effect during midcast).
I really have no idea what you are trying to say. You precast snapshot, you midcast shooting gear. Gearswap can even avoid rapid shot procs fucking your gear now so.. I don't get what you're talking about.
This is my current Snapshot set in my spellcast (precast), as I'm still very new to GearSwap, I'm not sure how to code it in.
<set name="snapshot" baseset="TPGear">
<head>sylvan gapette +2</head>
<body>skopos jerkin</body>
<hands>Iuitl wristsbands</hands>
<waist>impulse belt</waist>
<legs>Nahtirah Trousers</legs>
<feet>Wurrukatte Boots</feet>
</set>
The Skopos Jerkin I just kept trading in the Aby points unitl I got a 5% snapshot Augment on it.
Isnt Emp+2 body better because it adds to velocity shot?
its not "better", its redundant though since its supposed to be the same amount of snapshot as long as you have velocity shot up, and why would you not have velocity shot up?
Byrth tested iuitl hands and found them to be 10% snapshot in this thread: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/116...nd-Stuff/page3
Not certain if that is with or without augment.
Good point! I have that piece too, I switch to that. Thank you!
I'd argue it's slightly better on the grounds of the occasionally rapid shot that prevents you from switching in time since it helps the ratt portion as well as the snapshot of velocity shot. Plus small chance for set proc since you will probably be using af3+2 head. Again small amounts but ones that do happen. Though in the end really I'd prefer it just because I can store it
wut?
Snapshot is calculated the moment you draw weapon, nothing in this game has ever adjusted casting time (or in this case, firing time) based on gear changes mid cast
The ratt portion of the enhancement is only end though
I correct myself, you were looking at enhancing the snapshot aspect of "Enhance Velocity Shot" which as you said would be correct, equip at start of shot, and it's enhanced.
ie: You'd get an extra +5 from the body (edit: Skopos gives at most +5 so... guess just use the AF3). I need to look into skopos, I got way too much trophies I could trade in.
