It's about two detectives, McConaughey and Harrelson.

This was Andy Greenwald's somewhat negative review, but he points out plenty of positives. I'm still gonna check it out.

I watched it and it was pretty fantastic. It was a bit confusing but I think that's the hook early on and there seems to be a lot of circular story happening but it was awesome.

I found the first episode to be slow and somewhat average. Some of the banter got boring and some of McConaughey's lines were a bit tryhard, like the one about consciousness being an evolutionary flaw or w/e.

Still intrigued by the show though and will watch next week.

I liked it. Great potential. Pilot's are always iffy.

From what I understand it's a mini-series, re-upping a new storyline every season (assuming they get past S1). That's a huge draw for me because it means there is guaranteed closure.

It's intended to be anthology style like American Horror Story but the writer said he would do a second season with the same characters as the first.

It's another solid win for HBO. In an amazing turn of events I actually really like McConaughey's character, both past and present he's interesting. Woody is great too, I went into knowing nothing so I had a few wtf? moments and really dug it.

yea i really enjoyed how much different mcconaughey's character was in different time periods. really interested in seeing more of the artwork his character draws of crimescenes
