Bad sign: Prior to the last scene, I didn't remember a single character's name after the first episode, other than Rachel McAdams' sister. I spent most of the time trying to figure out which of the three cops was the most screwed up. And although I think Colin Farrell won the first episode, I'm not sure he's going to stay at the top of the "Worst Life Power Rankings."

I'll second this. Idk wtf was going on when someone used a name and didn't immediately cut to their faces. Like the C- guy who everyone was looking for the entire episode. Had no idea what was going on sometimes for a bit

It's tough with so many characters... S1 had just marty, rust, and evil men whose names we could give a fuck about

some thoughts on the episode:

* I still love this show's establishing / zoom out shots, the ending shot panning out from the crime scene was beautiful.
* Evil Colin Farrell is not as intriguing to me as I hoped so far
* Come back to bed Riggins
* Seriously Riggins did that drunk girl suck your dick
* Riggins, come on bro, don't turn off your headlight
* Rachel McAdams is hot
* Really hot, and she wants it in the butt
* The scene in the bar was really well done

Does anybody else think 'Riggins' may be gay? He was heckled by the other cops about the blowjob and they seemed to indicate that he would never ask for one (because he's gay) and he had to take a blue pill to get hard for his girl (who happened to be smoking hot) and then the scene with the motorcycle seemed to cross from suicidal to sensual. Either that or he's so wrapped up in being a cop or ex-military that he cannot function otherwise. Also, Farrell impressed me as I've never been much of a fan of his and McAssams, here's to hoping we get to see more....of her character.

Most guys probably aren't going to react that way to someone proposing anal. I'm wondering if that's what we're supposed to think she wanted, but it turns out she wants something a little more unusual. BDSM? Choking? Daddy Play? Something we're likely to see as a later reveal.

And I think there's going to be at least two female characters that actually have something to do this year -- pretty sure that Mrs. Symeon (Vince Vaughn's wife) has a significant role to play. She got fourth billing, ahead of Vince Vaughn.

And he's not Riggins to me because I never watched Friday Night Lights. He's John Carter.
