They specifically said they'll add it to existing CE users on the other platforms as well.

I wonder if with the up coming launch of the PS4 version of XIV if they will give a forewarning that future support for PS3 will be dropped a couple months after the release, and that the game would be playable but people would run into issues with playing it on that platform >.>... I can only hope because 256mb isn't a lot to build a MMO around in current generation of gaming..

If they haven't done this for XI, I seriously doubt they'd do it for XIV. Hell, we should be glad the PC version isn't just a terrible PS3 port.

Well, if they design things decently, the actual mob will be just the head, which, thanks to the long body, will be able to be anywhere on the arena. And of course, the head will have sides and back, so melee DDs won't be stupidly hindered beyond having to dodge more stuff than ranged DDs.

But maybe I'm putting too much faith in them, I don't know.

It's a bit much to assume every PS3 owner will have a PS4 like 6 months after launch, let alone 2+ years. Either way, the game isn't restricted in the same way XI was/is. PS3 may be the inferior choice, but it's still serviceable.

In addition to that theory, his tail is also hanging over the boat as well. There's a lot of options they can do to allow flanking/back attacks but time will tell what they will do.
