You over-estimate Japan entirely. You underestimate that the average Japanese person will upgrade to PS4 within 2 years (when they're still playing train simulator and rape simulator XXX on their phones), and underestimate Japan ever weaning themselves off of the suckling teat that is their own playerbase's obsession with PS3, and thus, catering to them.
There's too much (Japanese) money to be lost cutting off the PS3 in 2 years. Would I love to see it? Yes. Would I love to see PS4 get cut off as well so we can truly grow? Absolutely. Will either happen (especially the latter) anytime soon?
Nah.
did japan kamikaze bomb your mom's house or something when you were a kid
I wonder if they're going to uncap myth tomes in 2.2 given that they're allowing groups to spam 1-5 for gear, and that they're coming out with a new type of tome.
Yeah, you're right, MMO covers usually have multiple characters on them or are designed to show off the game's expansive worlds.
Spoiler: show
I like the BLM box art.If anything, it will grab the attention of any previous FF fan. I'd like to see a "collect them all" style set of box arts for every job.
Sidenote: what's the deal with the 2000 cap to philo/mytho anyway?
What purpose does it actually serve?
Maybe they will uncap myth, introduce new crafting materials for i80 or w/e crafting gear like philosophy and stuff, coil would make mythos very accessible.
Does anyone actually need to grind Philo anymore? I honestly don't worry about it anymore and just get it automatically doing CT or roulette. When I have enough, I spend it on stuff. I capped it at some point last week and didn't even notice.
people grind philo in 2014?
Bingo. I have 3 jobs at 50 and accidentally finished buying all the DL my lower-geared jobs needed while spamming CT.
I'm actually getting annoyed at this Philo cap now that I keep almost hitting it before remembering to spend it. One of these days, I know I'm going to end up wasting a 300 Philo roulette run.
CT has functionally rendered all HL dungeons pointless.
ilvl50 gear req, gives 200 philo and 50 mytho per run, drops ilvl80 gear.
Why would you run dungeons for ilvl60 gear and less stones per run?
