Dualshock 4 controller on Windows 7 PC (Wireless or Wired)

Has anyone found a guide or drivers for this that actually work consistently? A friend sent me to a set that worked for him on Windows 8 but it lacks left stick functionality for me.

Bonus points if it uses the touchpad as a mouse and vibration, but the latter isn't a huge deal.

    This is mainly for FFXIV.

Isn't it just plug and play? I just plugged mine in and I'm only missing vibration and touch pad functionality. (The touchpad button is recognized.)

7, yes...I had motionjoy crap on there before and picked up a DS4 month/month and a half ago to stop having to deal with it. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I was able to just plug it in and go. I picked up a cheap usb cord and ended up having to replace it because the tip that plugs into the controller wasn't snug enough. Micro usb is stupid.

The drivers that Rata linked are perfect. You'll have to start the service manually each time you connect the controller, but it gives you full functionally of the controller and automatically converts it to xinput for ease of use for all the games that support the 360 pad.

Latest versions even support the touch pad, though it's not exactly useful. I bought a Dualshock 4 solely for use with my PC, and have had zero complaints using those drivers.

I successfully installed the drivers and when I went to run the program it kept saying that the program had stopped working. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x86. Thanks.

I had to uninstall motioninjoy for the plug n' play to work with ds4. The old drivers were conflicting. I'm on Windows 7 as well.

Is there a specific game you're looking to play? I had to change some settings for it to work with FFXIV due to incorrect mapping.
