Dynamis currency farming & questions

Looking for any tips and advice for maximizing currency from dynamis.

I have tried Valkurm with no SJ THF(whm alt hasting/curing when needed), rotating between Hippogryphs, Manticores and Flies so that WS always has a chance to stagger. After three runs I hadn't obtained a single white proc and began doing cities for xarc access.

At jeuno, the very first NM I grabbed (before even getting TE's) dropped a 100. I didn't even stagger him. Do TE's and stagger influence the drop rate of 100's from NMs?

What is your preferred job/sj and area to farm currency?

How were you proccing? No proccing at all and relying just on TH? Were you WS proccing? Doesn't seem very efficient to me.
If you want to go THF main you should be going /DNC, I don't think you have any other realistical option.

Heading for white is never efficient anyway. It's more something that was worth it when you used to duo with other people. For instance say a THF and a DNC/00, in such a situation it might be worth it but if you're solo it hardly ever is.


My favourite zone to farm is definitely Valkurm, I think it's the best out of the 3 CoP zones but other people like Bubu/Qufim just as well.
I've heard wonders of Tavnazia solo farming, but bombs can be dangerous and you don't really have full options to rotate all 3 JA windows. Plus you absolutely need to be alone due to how scarce mobs can be.
As for jobs? Back in the days I loved BST/DNC for plenty of reasons but these days it's a bit overkill... I'd go THF/DNC if I were you.

WS proccing. I've seen that proccing mobs with JAs' is much more reliable than WS's, so perhaps I will give THF/dnc a chance. That will of course remove the 1% chance at a 100, but maybe proccing/slaying faster will make up for it.

Do you farm the higher level mobs in valkurm or stick to the lower level stuff?

I wasted so much time trying to proc white ugh gave up and farmed the coins with subs way easier. My friends focused on beastmen zones doing the NMs and got way way more 100 drops in Sandy then I ever did trying for white in cop zones dnc/00 pup/00 with thf. I tried for a few weeks and my luck was horrible.

Thanks, kind of what I suspected. Guess I'll return to cities after getting -1 THF gloves from bubu today.

I have seen a 100 drop from NM's and forced spawn boss, any idea if they still drop from statues?

I basically just run Valkrum as thf/dnc, attack with TH gear until proc (so that I don't kill too quickly), then kill the mob asap. Not overly original, but it works for me. I haven't even bothered with the white proc; I tried once on no sj dnc and didn't get a 100 piece, so just decided thf/dnc was more efficient.

I've been sticking to the lower level mobs, and up until recently have had very little competition.

Back in the days I used of course to farm the easy stuff when solo, and the hard stuff when with friends.
When I went there for a few more runs a couple of months ago I was on DNC/THF and I did the "hard" ones, and they too were easy to the edge of boredom. (and my gear is no exceptional at all)
I was doing Trees>Funguars>Sheeps I think.
Watch out for multiple funguars links, that darkbreath thing can be dangerous.

I have done a few Valkurm recently going for RDM head -1 rotating Ja proc on nightmare mobs (BST/dnc)
Getting approx 150 coins but no sight of the RDM head -1
Any tips on getting that damn head?

if you REALLY want a -1 piece, just rape shit till it drops then worry about currency.

It's mostly counterproductive to even bother obtaining the -1 tbh

It likely costs more to spend the currency on +1ing instead of just skipping it and +2ing it (or in time lost not obtaining said -1)

I believe my record is 320 currency bst/dnc in valk, 280 in bubu. Cities tend to suck in my experience. A ls member is nearing 800 currency a run triboxing thf/dnc brd whm

If it were hand/leg/feet, I'd be inclined to agree. But, atleast on my server, Thoughts are still 80k, and tacking on an extra 20 Thoughts is 1.6 mil. Though it seems that my server is pretty backwater in regards to forgotten prices lol, everywhere else its 50k or less.

I usually do Qufim on BST/DNC rotating DC stirges/diremites/bats at the tunnel near the Port Jeuno zone. There's also a few rocs nearby that share the JA window with the bats. I'm far from being an optimal farmer but this camp works very well for me and it's usually open.

As for getting 100's from NM's, it's my understanding that they all have a (low) chance of dropping them regardless of proc. In fact, most of the times I've gotten a 100 I didn't proc the NM.

It's been my understanding that 100 drops are based on Treasure Hunter alone. Just tag & bury NMs, then move on. It's not worth the effort of proccing them, unless you're wanting to avoid being charmed or something.

took your advice and went to Bubu as THF/dnc and WAR/dnc dual boxed. 400 currency total

tops no SJ valk and cities so yeah i'll be farming this for $

I tried Bubu. last night and was pleased with the results. Camped right at the top of the beach by Mhuara doing scorpions/mandy/crawlers and really only had to change direction I was facing when proc time changed. Have tried the dnc/none before and found got more coins going thf/dnc. I think Qufim is the best in regards to getting started thanks to the TE being all close to one another. My luck has been Dunes the 20 min statue is up by the secret beach, and Bubu ended up with it by the OP.

And didn't know that if a mob is casting a spell on you, /hide doesn't work. Made a lovely train of ep/dc orcs, goblins and yags all the way to Mhaura so I could die and RR in peace.

I also tried the glacier last week (wanted to focus on 1 type of currency only), but magic procs don't seem worth it. Was working on orcs by the pond towards Fei'yin so was mostly brd/whm/blm mobs. Got a 100 piece from one of the 2 NM's that spawn there but I tended to kill the regular mobs before I could get them staggered. Was blu/dnc to cover all types but foot kick spam wasn't helping at all. Wasn't a bad idea, but think it would only work if you could find a cluster of light armor type beastmen.

Do the tougher beastmen in dyna drop currency more often? what about armor? Wondering if it's worth fighting them or not, or just blasting through the weaker level oens.

I dont believe theres been any indication for armor, but DC mobs have an extra drop slot.

prolly can farm the extra thoughts to make the +2 without +1ing before hand pretty easily. could get 10-20 forgottens doin DCs especially with th. so you wont need to spend an extra 1 mil
