Maybe I'll follow Jamison and post my units. I occasionally go on gem buying sprees, usually when they have sales. Unfortunately they give me duplicant units or undesirable units most of the time.

Trying to figure out a rainbow team for what I currently have as I'm probably done with buying gems for quite a while. I've given them enough of my money recently.

My current thought of rainbow team would be:
Amy (Lightning leader)
Tree Eltri (Earth)
Dean (Water)
Lava (Fire)
Shida (Dark)

Any thoughts? Wouldn't mind incorporating Edea since she's maxed as a replacement for Earth, but then would need to sub in my God Phoenix and I don't know if that will be good enough healing for some of the later fights. Actually I usually run with both Phoenix and Tree with the rest of my earth units just for the extra safety factor.

Got lucky with some idol drops today. Evolved my 2nd 5 star after my Thunder God Eze :D

Everything I've read is that Phoenix and Eltri are basically just as good (for healing, obviously Eltri has the status removal)... you just have to use Phoenix a round to two earlier and give time for the HoT to spread out. Lava will certainly be better than Edea once her 6* is out, but off the top of my head I don't know when that will be.

You might consider Mega for his eventual 6* over Dean, but prior to that Dean looks to be the better choice. Same with Mifune, when his 5* hits.

I'm thinking most of these evolutions will be out sometime of the vicinity of when the true rainbow leaders are released, so I guess the question is if we really want to run rainbow now with the 20% boost or just be prepping for the 50% boost coming down the road.

Mainly was considering Rainbow as that seems to be what the game pushes you towards later from what I've read. Actually it pushes you towards it during Cordelica quests, which is where I'm having problems with my mono-earth team. In a sense, I guess you could call it future-proofing myself. Also, I feel having more than one mono team is kinda meh. I'd like to have one all-around team and one mono team. That way if something gives my mono-earth team trouble (like the 2nd quest in Tower of Light in Cordelica, which is all fire mobs) I can switch to the rainbow team and have an easier/better time with it.

Edit: Although truthfully, I could put together an awesome mono-fire team with my 3 Lavas, Pheonix, and Aisha once they get leveled haha. I'm still up in the air as to what to do after I max out all my current mono-earth units, but leaning more towards rainbow.

I finally manage to get a starter from honor summons... and it's another Eze, even the same type. I'm not necessarily complaining, but the starter I finally get is the same one I started the game with? No variety!

The only 2 good honors I've gotten are Mifune and Lance.

Also, Totems are really easy if you have a team strong against them. Did Water totem without using a single item. Used my 3/5th thunder team. It also helped that I didn't run into a 2nd totem.

Also I wish there was a way to reroll the types of units. Like I have a fucking Oracle Rickel. So lame.

Two battles into Thunder Totem dungeon, Dark Totem shows up. I'm happy, needless to say, and I dispatched it with most of my healing items. Two battles later, a Light Totem showed up. I quit right on the spot.

That's right. Three Totems in one run.

I've been trying for a light totem for weeks now (and now I need two)... heck it's probably actually over a month. RNG gods are frowning upon me.

Managed to get Oboro in less than 10 runs of level 2.... and it pops out Oracle. FFFFFFFFFFF. Kept grinding and got another Oboro, this time Lord, which I'm happy with. Question is, should I sell/fuse off the Oracle? Don't know if theres any real use for it. Would've loved to have gotten a Magress while I was at it, but it only showed up 4 times in roughly 20 runs, and I've read people going 0/50+ on him (thats 0/50+ on the times hes shown up). At 20 energy per attempt, it's just not worth it.

I cannot beat level 2 Oboro. Super frustrated after many attempts. Is the level 1 drop rate too horrible to even bother?

Yeah Oboro seems harder than the others I've seen so far. I'm scared to try level 3 for the gem.

He does have increased drop rate for a few days so lvl 1 might work?

Level 3 Oboro hurts. I wouldn't even try it unless your team is capable of soaking or healing a ton of damage each turn. I just recently cleared it for the gem and I had to use all my heal items plus having two healers (God Tree & Queen Lidith, wish I had remembered to bring Phoenix).

On a side note, I just finished maxing out 3/5 of my earth team. I might focus on getting another team going now instead of maxing out the others. Thinking about a Fire Team with the units I posted earlier, then might work on rainbow after that if I don't get tired of the game haha.

Caught Memetos while doing Oboro. Why couldn't it be Magress

I didn't even know you could catch the placeholders for the starters.

At least he can be 5 starred I guess.

Edit: What the hell? I totally saw him get caught and the Rare thing go off but he's not in my units >_<
