RC4 X2 mission titled "Exodus" will drop a Void chunk. You get the other piece from completing "Relics of a Forgotten Era", another RC4 X2 mission. You have to do all of the X2 missions in RC1-RC3 first before you get RC4 X2 access.

Decided to use a gem during the last hour of Frontier Hunter when I saw myself sitting at rank 1021. Good decision because I moved up to rank 555 right before event end. Woo!

Also, since FH is over, I'm pretty much leaving my maxed imped Griff with Sky Harbinger/Demon Core. Dat 9k attack tho.

Made it up to ~3900, so HR +2 for me. A long way to go, but not a bad start, for only being able to field 4 units + 1 exceptionally OP BG friend.

3,900 or 39,000? Cause if it's the first one, you'll actually get HR+4

For the next couple of months Frontier Hunter ranking won't be as competitive as it used to be. A lot of the people who started playing when it first came out are at or near the cap of Hunter Rank 41 so there isn't as many people trying to get in the top 1,000 for +5. I think the FH we do in either November or December will increase Hunter Rank to 46 I believe. It'll be competitive again for another season or two.

No matter what, good job trying it out since you've only recently started playing!

Finished upgrading my final Legwand Gem to a Malice Jewel. Now to make these 15 Malice Jewels in Buffer Jewels while I accrue thousands of Raid Medals to earn more sphere to make more jewels. It's an unhealthy and vicious cycle I must say.

I meant, 39k, not 3.9K. I was getting almost 3k ranks per run though, so another day and I might have hit HR +3. Picked up Grahden earlier today as well, burning off excess stamina. Working on clearing worlds so I can get Karl his 6* material, for my current water arena team of 2x 7* Selena, 6* Eliza, and 5* Karl. Hoping to have that done around the middle of next week. Mifune is ready and waiting for my team cost to get high enough to stick him on there until I get another water unit.

Yeah, RC4 and 5 seem to have better drop rates. Also they're doing an increased drop rate event right now sooooo.......

edit: years of FFXI has developed a Stockholm Syndrome-like tendency towards grinding for me. So when people were complaining about lack of content in Global, I was happily whittling away at Mistzug every couple hours as Raid Orbs replenished.

It's not too bad really; make sure you have at least one +HP lead and have a unit that gives a +DEF % buff. The hardest part of all the X2 maps is the fact that it's time consuming moving to where the boss is on a map. A lot of the pathways have 3-4 fodder fights to run away from, so it takes a few minutes just to get to the boss. Also, don't stop farming at 3 void chunks (for Deimos, Ultor, Tridon). Might as well get at least 8 so you can make Zenia, Aurelia, and Hadaron's spheres now and Zedus and Andaria's spheres when those get released.

Yeah, well. Kinda? Boosts Attack by 80% is nice. 30% chance to reduce damage by 30% is meh.

Plus, you never know, you might pull her next time you drunk summon and her ES is +20% stats and +1 hit when OCA is equipped.

Might as well take advantage of the Raid drop increase event going on until Sunday night.

If you run solo, use a raid item to get an immediate 2* rating to increase drop rarity.

Well I've used up all my orbs just getting to that point. Probably won't be doing any more tonight.
