Whelp, got to say, fuck you, Gumi; I am extremely disappointed in these results. I really need some good DPS/Leader units, and the gate did not deliver.

No more summoning until Avant batch or God Gate because this shit is real. Maybe if there's a really good 17 pool of 7* I might pull once or twice, but this was such a BS let down it makes me not want to play BF anymore today.

Narza is a 50% mitigator (on both BB and SBB). He's better than Nevsky. He also cleanses and negates status effects with his BB and his SBB provides the "BB when hit" buff. Getting two does kind suck though

Ahvel has a 7* form: Sagavhel. Saga is a really good 7* unit that cleanses status and negates and his BB provides a permanent 10% HP increase to the party for the remainder of the fight. It'll even persist if your unit gets KO'ed and revived

Ulkina is a really good healer and Narza is better than Nevsky. Ahvel good too like Hushi said.

Dilma is great for metal parade farming; he provides the Defense Ignore buff

I actually built a dedicated metal parade party just to blast through. Contains Dilma, Grandt, Vanberk for ignore defense, Bestie and Priscilla for BB building and mop up duty for ghosts.

Also I've been kinda theory crafting what to do with Quartz and figured he'd probably make a good combination with Kanon. Both can DD, Quartz can HoT, DoT, and boost party HP, Kanon can remove status effects and give a pretty decent Def boost to the party. Only thing missing is an actual burst heal for those oh shit moments, so a dedicated healer still might be ideal. Still, I love theory crafting.

You're right that Ahvel isn't shit-tier and I know at one point I had him up with Aurelia and Andaria, but I guess when I saw another negate/remove status unit, and my only other NE 7* unit, I just about had it. Didn't help that nobody's written about him either. He's probably my only real leader unit, atm, as he gives the HP needed for one, but his status removal & BC fill rate are duplicated by other units I'd use.

Narza/Ulkiel are a year old and will help, but have their limits not being 7*, so whatever work I do put into them sort of washes out at some point. Selena also fills a healer roll pretty darn well too, so really, Ulkiel would be a third healer. There's also the problem of so many status removal/negation that there's too much over-lap from just those 12 summons; it's really pretty stupid, considering everything I could have pulled.

I'm not really even sure what type of team I should even focus on, with what my roster is, due to most of the good units having over-lapping buffs. None of them help me complete Grahden's GC since he destroys light units, and that GC was a good shot at a needed alternative/HP lead. Here's what I have:

Leveled Units:

7* - Selena, Vernil, Quaid, & Nemethgear
6* - Sybil Sisters, Reed, Lucana, Nevsky, Eru, Miku & Lario

Un-leveled Units

7* - Aurelia, Andaria, Sargavel, & other starters, minus the dark one)
6* - Narza, Ulkiel, Ulkina, Dilma, Lodin, Lebra, Priscilla, Bonnie, Rhein, Aniel, Fei, Karl, Noel,

The best I can come up with is:

Sargevel - Lead (HP/BC Fill Rate/Status Cleanse/Negate/Chance of HP on Hit/HP Regen/HP Boost/Helz PLZ)
Narza - Mitigator/Status Negate/BC on hit with SBB
Aurelia - Helz PLZ/Status Cleanse/Negation/BB Fill/Extra Damage/REC to DEF
Nemethgear - SBB spam
Quaid - Elemental Buffs
Griff/Zenia/Zedus as Friends, for difficult content?

I still have a lot of grinding to get to whatever SMN level lets you have five 7* in your PT, so if it makes sense to bench any leveling, and see what happens with future pulls, I've no problem doing that. I can actually farm RC4, with leveled units, so it's not like I'm currently lacking a decent enough PT; it's just super slow and usually 1* results. I just can't see building a much better version, aside from Narza, who seems like a given to level, no matter what, but I could be wrong.

Narza is a great unit for you to level. Despite him not attacking during his BB/SBB, he provides great indirect BB fill via his "BB on Hit buff"

Actually, the team you listed out (Saga, Narza, Aurelia, Nemethgear, Quaid) and Zenia/Griff/Zedus/Bestie/Tridon friends will help you clear a lot of content.

Also, Priscilla will provide you some benefit in the close future. She provides an excellent paralyze buff that will help paralyze Luther in Trial:004 (Cardes trial).

You need to reach SMN level 199 to be able to field five 40-cost 7* units.
