For the Challenge Arena summon - it says a pool of 17 units. Does that mean ONLY those 17 units? Seems better than normal summon gate with rate up on 4-5? Or nah?

When it's a pool of 14-17 units then yeah, it'll only be those units that you can pull. Gumi will normally increase the cost of summoning to make up for it (like 6 gems instead of 5).

That's usually what it means. Frontier Hunter, Raid Medal Rush, and I guess now Challenge Arena, will have special summon gates that only have the listed 17 units. The gem cost is usually 6+ gems, but you're guaranteed to get one of those 17 units, so it's usually one of the best times to summon, provided the pool isn't mostly garbage.

The don't think the current Divine Summon gate, that's rotating rate up on 5 units, every day, is limited to just 7* batch units, but I could be wrong.

The divine gate is limited to only batches that came out after (and including) Kira's batch. Everything that you can pull will be a base 5* unit will 7* forms.

There is also a rate up for the units in the gacha display (why Ivris though, ew).

So, I've been clearing Trial content, and I'm now on the notorious Trial X3. I've cleared all of the old GC and Vortex content as well, so I've a bunch of new spheres too. I can't field a full light PT, and I am missing Kira/Nodore, so one of them would be missing, if I borrowed a Kira/Nodore friend. Here's my most powerful light characters:

Nemethgear
Raaga
Maxwell

If I used Maxwell as Lead, Kira friend, and threw in Hadaron, would that be a good shot at one-turning it? Any Sphere recommendations on the units?

Brute potion everyone. Light stone the party. Hero crystal. Activate OD on Nemethgear. Fujin Maxwell, Nemethgear, Raaga, Melchio, and Raaga.

Regular Attack Kira friend
SBB Maxwell.

And pray.

Sphere set up needs to prioritize boosting critical damage (not hit rate) and spark damage (heavenly bud and war demon blade).

It's highly dependent on everyone landing critical hits.

X3 isn't really hard anymore due to power creep.

Ignore all the posts about "omg such BULLSHIT RNG!!!?!?!??" And just go in with a defensive party set up and you'll be fine. You just need to be aware of the scripted attacks.

I actually just went 1/1 totally YOLOing it after I fucked up the recommended turn/% order in the first 4 turns. Just sorta winged it and UBBed where I thought I would die and won with my second party half dead. Avani died with a full BB bar and UBB active and I had to survive 4 turns after that with no mitigator. Nearly had a heart attack.

Do we know when we are getting 7* Elza?

My standard party has been Chrome Lead, Hadaron/Griff, Reud, Aurellia, Krantz, and Tridon Friend. I could Tridon lead, and use Gaiza friend, and keep the rest the same. Either lead/party is nearly fully imped as well.

Regarding the 1-shot post though, it seems you wanted Hadaron to be Fujined, not Maxwell; is that correct?

Just used a summon ticket and got Raghan. Debating doing another or saving for tomorrow. Is Raghan essentially == Zenia and Avani? Kinda seems like it. Hard to gauge.

Edit: Pulled again and got an Anima Ultor to replace my Breaker one I guess.

Not really, Raghan is pretty much your Arena lead on par with Hadaron (I prefer Raghan). He is good for Elgif (or however they are called) runs too though.
