Drop one of the avant leads and use either Haile (with an elemental negation sphere), Randolph, Chrome, or Rhoa friend if you have problems with BC generation (which you probably will).

Even though Chrome and Rhoa's Spark buff clash with Charla, their LS Spark damage and BC on Spark is always helpful for added damage output, which is something Piany won't offer.

Don't forget that you cannot safely autobattle Shusui since you need to do actions based on his stances. So you can always fire off Chrome/Rhoa first, then apply Charla's stronger buff after.

As far as status ailments go, that's luck dependent. Shusui only does status infliction on a certain stance so you don't need it 24/7.

I don't really heal. I use BB to cleanse status as needed but otherwise I just let HC / HoT (if up) heal me.

Semira works as well. Even Feeva.

Shusui actually takes reduced elemental damage so elemental buffs don't help you nearly as much as other fights.

My PT worked okay; still got killed 100 to zero with near 20k HP and 60% mitigation, some of the time. I like the simon says aspect, but the random death rubs me the wrong way, when I respond appropriately, to his stances.

If he does "Expression of Anger" you did something wrong. His next turn he will do "Empty Seal" which will pretty much wipe your party.

You have two options; see "Expression of Anger" and use a smoke bomb to avoid tying, or when you see "EoA", OD, pop a fujin and use a unit's UBB. It will "break his stance" and give you an extra turn to do the correct swiping your next turn.

Not that; just his normal RNG attacks and focusing down one unit. Empty seal is always avoidable with a smoke bomb, if you mess up his stances. I even UBB'd once, and did that, just so I could get more points.

Fire extinguisher is his other big normal move. It's a massive AOE fire attack (due to his stance's bonus attack buff). You can offset damage via a combination of Injury (which is why I bring Semira), attack down debuff, and defense up buff.

One of his stances has an AI that does a massive ST nuke to one of your units. You might think it's random but its target is based on the unit with the most "current HP". That's a problem since he'll do a few normal attacks first, lowering everyone, then do that ST attack. So you can't really guard the target unit.

Yeah I die to FE as well. Basically I am 100% fine if there are at least 2 DEF crystal up, but if not and he is under 50% in FE mode there is a decent amount of running / smoke bombs. Just rack up the points on his arms and before he starts FE spam and then let people who brought full defensive teams do the cleanup while you watch TV.

Speaking of: WDB #5 get. I may stop since I dont think I need more than 5 of these?

welp, in my current situation, i'll never beat bound to fire. The fact that i don't have Adel or a proper fire healer/status nullifier, i have to deal with using Darvanshel and ulkina whom both die with the fucking quickness.

other fire units i have that are 7* are... Ciara, Bestie, Michele, Ruby, Ultor, Lava, vargas, Vishra, Farlon, Ramna (i never got her 7* tho)

what do?

Level Ranma to 7* as status cleanser + drop Darv for Ciara and aim for all OTKO other than f1 and 4. If you can 2TKO f4 with the extra firepower you should be ok.

Make sure you are not just using any old sphere setup. You need all your best spheres and people will all need to be max imped if you want to float a no-mitigator group.

Trying slightly more offensive build for Shusui without the use of crystals and Noah.

Laberd (lead)
Zeruiah
Malbelle
Charla
Reud*
Randolph* (friend)

No health issues.
Reud for spark blanket and Atk buff even with slight clash with Laberd (used to be Elza for spark blanket then noticed the massive clashing with Charla...).
Randolph friend because wasn't sure what else for this team.

Main annoying thing that happens probably once per Shusui is when he curses and when I remove it on Charla, Malbelle may not have full bar due to that curse. I don't know if she loses her SBB ramping if doesn't do it for one turn but if so then that is bothersome even if it only happens once really on average. Would've taken Elza for spark blanket if I could but lack of crit/heal/status negate in one unit that isn't Charla is tough.

Gaining 2 stars at least generally. So doesn't seem too far off from using Noah defense build. Least it is a nice change from time to time.

Whenever a unit has that "consecutive use" mechanic for their SBB, if you skip a turn and not do their SBB, the damage resets.

Been getting around 50million contribution points (3 stars) from damage alone. If I use items it jumps up to 80 million.

Quick tip for shock cores.

Doing RC5M3, skip Golvorg and go straight for Caldaus. He's got more HP and more targets so you can rack up more contribution points. After he's dead, then clean up Golvorg.

For shock cores I usually enter golvorg during times of day when I cant actually do raid (getting ready to leave / at work / etc) to just leech medals and cores. With 0 points I get cores about 1 out of 10 runs on average. Have used this for 10+ cores.

Imo better than using raid orbs during times you are actually paying attention.

Shock Core (as well Azure Sphere) have abysmal drop rates; from datamining it's 6% base.
