Indeed. It was more or less him eloquently circling around the same three notions of Science taking away from the core concepts of Christianity. And the fact that not being alive at a certain time period pretty much "locks us out" from understanding how something should work. It made me shutter at the simple fact that the man could even be a man of science as well, at all. Deep down he should know that he's lying to himself if he truly believes himself a man of science.

I just finished this myself. I learned a few things from Nye. Cool shit.
I liked his clarification of "Survival of the Fittest" meaning the best fit in the environment, not necessarily the strongest or smartest.

And then Ham's immediate response which showed that he either wasn't listening or was intentionally misrepresenting what Nye had just said.

It's funny how people believe this, if the water covered everything, where did it go?

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Well if you are going to believe God can flood the whole Earth, why wouldn't you believe He put it all back afterwards?

Although, if you think that the story of the flooding is that convoluted, I wouldn't suggest looking up the answer to your question.

    I have, and... yeah don't.

Every time Ham mentioned people being "indoctrinated by science" I wanted to stab someone in the throat. I was never forced to go to a special building and spend hours in a special class every sunday for weeks to learn about science when I was a kid. Hell, if I was I probably would've enjoyed it more.

I would give my left testicle to attend a weekly science lecture by Feynman or to a lesser extent NDT*. I don't know of many people who could say the same for attending a church with any popular pastor or minister.

    *StarTalk radio doesn't count.

If substitute teaching has taught me anything, it's that kids get a lot of MythBusters exposure.

You don't hang around many young adult modern Christian worship group members. Lucky.
