    Electromagnetic fields for dummies?

So I'm currently taking what I consider the hardest class ever for me. First week seems easy: coordinate systems and how to convert between them. Now as more days go by the professor could be lecturing in russian and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Is there any simplified resource I could look at to improve my (lack of) understanding for this class?

Electromagnetics and Transmission Line Theory! Have you started casting black magic yet? I thankfully didn't have to take the class since I was a CE major, but my EE friends had to. It was one of those "Aim for the D" classes, since you'd be happy with anything above an F.

No idea what reference the first few posts are talking about. I'll check out your suggestion, Sath.

I'm not sure if it's necessarily a 'simplified' resource, but Feynnman's lectures also include information on electromagnetism. Pretty sure it's just Volume II, so here's a link. You can read the whole thing online without buying it.

I really have no good suggestion, sadly. I have a MS in EE and Electromagnetics was the hardest class I ever took. I ended up dropping it (only engineering class I ever dropped in college) and retook it during the summer with some ludicrously easy professor that basically handed out As but didn't teach a soul. Understanding the classroom material is so exceptionally harder than it needs to be in order to function as a working industry professional in the area. Once you hit Maxwell's equations and integrate across a million dimensions, you just want to kill yourself. All I have to say is GOOD LUCK.
Oh and also, might want to check if there are any free MIT courses on the subject matter. May help

Gonna second this. Purcell had a version that was baseline for a while but I found Griffiths makes the entry level and higher end language easier to wrap your head around. It's still gonna be dry, but its in-depth.

EDIT: The latest edition I should say, 4th. The language is less ambiguous in certain areas, if that makes sense to you.
